It's fine, was more funny in the beginning though. In the end I've lost my interest.

 

The nightmare will start soon. They started suspending animes left and right until further notice.

The only good part is that I have a huge plan to watch list since 2016.. I can start clearing those now lol.

 

I know I am praising Oda too much, but I can't stress enough how a bloody genius he is. He made such great characters in One Piece, Tiger's whole character and morals are absolute top top tier. I love this scene so much.

If I can recommend One Piece for only one reason, it must be for the amazing characters. Just look at this scene.

"Prejudice, no matter how hard you try, is almost impossible to abolish. It's not that he is a bad person, he is good but once that mindset is set, it's hard to change. The only answer is the next generation. Here we see a sacrifice by a man who wished to see change, but not in his lifetime, and he knew it. This makes his sacrifice all the more beautiful. He was racially abused and wounded by humans. He hates humans, he knows that no matter how hard he tries to change it, but despite all that he is still trying so he doesn't corrupt the future generations.

The way he shows it is absolutely beautiful.



If you read the post before and look at this scene after it, you can see how Oda is an absolute genius. ABSOLUTE GENIUS. GENIUS. I always get emotional seeing this scene, also FISHMAN ISLAND ARC is getting too much hate just this scene alones puts fishman island in 7/10 at least.

A little kid, a slave, tries not to cry just so she doesn't get killed and what does Tiger do? He told her it's okay to cry. He saves her despite hating on humans. The only thing which this scene misses is the stupid cut they made in this video. Before the cut Koala says "I'm sorry I blacked out, I didn't cry, I'll never, ever cry, so please don't kill me!"

I love this so much. I love it. Oda is my favorite mangaka of all times. He is a genius. Absolute genius. Eternal genius. If you are reading this and not reading One Piece, you must. It's an absolute masterpiece in every single way. There's no shonen which goes this deep into characters and which makes you go wow, that happened.
