    so is anyone genuinely interested in bringing the mascot idea back to the site?

    either we can bring Ai and Ko back, do a revamp/redesign of Ai and Ko's concept, or introduce a completely new mascot(s), or not have any at all

    if you don't know who Ai and Ko are, they were our mascots for SD until they got thrown under the rug due to a lack of interest

    I like the idea of having mascots as it adds something unique to the website. A revamp/redesign wouldn't be bad too.

    Keep Ai and Ko and make new mascots as well. Make a whole gang of them and have them go on adventures in both comics and/or short stories :p

    Aren't Ai and Ko responsible for countless war crimes in South Sudan and had a major pivotal role in the Libyan uprising?

    I think it's worthwhile since a board like this isn't a dedicated one (i.e. DBZ, Naruto, etc) so having it's own thing to set itself apart is a good thing.

    Also, good characters make for strong branding. Not suggesting they could end up like for instance Crunchyroll's Hime-Chan, but atleast you'd have them.

    I just have a scenario playing in my head where someone uses an avatar of such characters somewhere else, then someone goes "oh whose that?" Oh, some original characters for this forum on on!

    tl;dr

    do it, lots of pros and like no cons.

    seems like the general response is to revamp Ai and Ko, so there will be some changes coming to the site hopefully soon
