Discussion Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War

Episode 9 was good. Ichigo and Renji are moving along I think next ep Ichigo gets his dual wield? Unohana vs Kenpachi looking great so far.

 

Episode 10 was great. Kenpachi vs Unohana was great, very emotional. Ichigo is gonna learn about his Quincy heritage now, IIRC.

 

Episode 11 was fantastic. It's great seeing the flashback of Ryuken, Katagiri, Masaki and Isshin. Lol at little Toshiro too. Isshin was a respectable captain. White with the Aizen segments made things interesting. The way Masaki terminated white was something else. Ikumi also cares for Ichigo like a sister, shame not too much ended up being done with her like Tatsuki.The finale on xmas will be great.

 

Episode 12 was great. Solid flashback tying everything together. Isshin going back to thank Masaki properly. Masaki being infected and soul suicide kicking in. Urahara being in the right place for them along with bumping into her. Poor Ryuken too, how shit he felt being unable to protect the Quincy legacy. In the end Ichigo finally knows everything. I think that scene at the end is the last we see of Ikumi.

 

Episode 13 was the great end to this part of TYBW. The adaptation has been fantastic. All the OSTs have me super nostalgic along with the general things going on. Great Ichigo finally acknowledged the real Zangetsu, then there is the fact that he considers the Quincy portion Zangetsu too, which is true seeing as he has two. Ending tease with Uryu was great too. Can't wait for part 2 in july!
