Getting by.

I got married in the first lockdown. There were only a few people - closest family only

But the last four years have taken a toll on me mentally.

 

First of All congrats man! I think a smaller wedding with closest family is actually great thing. If it gets too big its mostly exhausting and chaotic.

Onii-chan Gobb right there to help with head pat on that matter.

Yeah. I was thankful for the small ceremony with only 25 people. A big one with too many people would have driven me insane. And you know big Indian weddings. 500 people is considered a small gathering.

 

Oh yeah lol. I do know what you mean. I Was at a turkish wedding of a friend of mine. Around 700 people were there and i sah how busy and exhausting it was to manage it. I think the wedding night would be i rather sleep until the next afternoon.

 

70-100 people, even 200 people, would be considered a very small wedding gathering here.

 

Yup. Average Indian couple will spend between 10% and 40% of their entire net worth on their child's wedding. Nope, not 40% of annual income, but 40% of their net worth. people here even take huge loans for wedding costs.

Mine worked out cheap, actually. Because I was opposed to a lavish wedding from the get-go, as was my dad. I managed to convince the in-laws as well to agree.
