Yeah, just putting that info out there is a risk in itself. You don't know who lurks the forum, or who could have a vendetta against it. It's not really a matter of 'If they could get into an inactive account, they could get into an active one' it's more an issue of security then anything else. As a general rule of thumb - if the power isn't being used - remove it. Activity should -always- be important among staff for this reason. You never know when e-mails or other related accounts to those people could be compromised if you are out of touch or they haven't turned up for months at a time. At least if they are active they can protect their accounts by changing their password.

Hey, at the end of the day I don't want to relive the drama. I've been posting on shitty forums for over 14 years, stuff like this this has happened quite a few times. If you don't want to protect your shit, that's up to you but when it actually does happen I sure as hell won't help fix whatever they fucked up or destroyed in the process. And why should anyone else? The scenario is completely avoidable.
