It's a series that has been on air for 12 years. 12. Years. and I gotta tell you, for what it's been, It's still a show worth watching!

what's your experience with it? we're currently in season 12, I don't have the same amount of love for every season, I definitely think it's had some off moments, but they manage to get great moments off even now.

    Season 1 Episode 1
Introductory episode which sets up the storyline. The Woman in White was not that scary but the ending to her story was emotional because she shows her emotional face and ends up getting drowned by her own ghost children. There was some very good interaction scenes between Dean and Sam. Jessica's death was a bit sudden so the episode does have a rushed feel to it. This is basically an exposition episode from start to Near End. The end sets off Dean and Sam's adventure. 9 out of 10.

    Season 1 Episode 2
This episode actually scared me. It was funny how quickly Sam and Dean can change their identities. There was an adventure feel throughout the episode and the plot did progress slightly with Sam thinking about Jessica and his father. The wedingo did not have much exposure though. 8 out of 10.

Good, Good. I wait for your reviews!

most episodes are one-offs, usually having an end scene to tie it to the main plot. but it's worth it

    Season 1 Episode 3
This episode focuses on the emotions of the individual characters. The Boy Water Spirit is an supernatural entity whose actions cannot be called "evil" and that's unique. The first supernatural entity who achieves it's objective and is not destroyed. There is focus on investigation and deducing and the drawings been hints was a very good plot device. The Climax is executed very well and even though there is death it still leaves us smiling for the viewers realize that Love triumphs Hate. Plot progresses in this episode as we come to know how Dean felt over the death of his Mom. Sam seems to show some sort of resistance to spiritual entities? This is the second time Sam has overpowered/resisted a spirit (The first been the White Lady). I wonder if it means anything. :happymm
Bonus Part: The kiss at the end completely caught me off guard. An excellent finishing touch.

This episode gets a solid 10 out of 10.

    Season 1 Episode 4
The episode starts off with a scary plane crash caused by a Demon and through coincidence Dean and Sam end up investigating the case. This episode gives introduces to some nice things : 1) We see Dean in a suit, 2) We come to know Dean is scared of flying in aeroplanes which leads to some good comedy, 3) We come to know why Dean travels everywhere in his Impala (Ties to Point 2) and 4) A Demon is shown for the first time. Plot Progression happens in this episode where the demon tells Sam what happened to Jessica after her death (I don't think the Demon was lying) and Dean's Father leaving behind Dean's number in a message.

There are some flaws with this episode : 1) How not a single flyer hears the fight or demon screams that is happening right next to them? 2) The animation in this episode is wonky and looks computerized and 3) The demon was a disappointment when it came to appearance (Just a black blob, lame).

    I give this episode a 7 out of 10.

    Season 1 Episode 5
This episode features the Bloody Mary which attacks through mirrors. While this sounds like a brilliant horror concept, the execution of it in the show was lame which ended up making it "not so scary". This episode does feature some gore at the start but it's not very realistic. The Bloody Mary plot line of the show is complicated and I had to read a synopsis of the episode to understand what happened. There is plot progression as how Sam had dreamed of Jessica's death before it happened but it seems a bit thrown out. The Jessica apparition at the end was not really needed and seems off.

This episode like the previous episode again has many illogical things happening in it : 1) Why don't the police officers arrest Dean when they should know that it's a break in?, 2) Why do the Police Officers assume things? and 3) Why do the Police Officers not hear the sounds of glass shattering?

This episode could have been brilliant and scary but a complicated plotline and bad execution makes this episode akin to a B grade horror movie that someone would watch when they have nothing better to do.

    5 out of 10.

Yeah that's the problem with SN, not every episode is great... they should be 16 episode seasons tbh.

Only watched a few episodes of this over the years. Was pretty enjoyable what I did. The most memorable one of what I saw was probably the clown one. Dunno what season/ep though.

    Season 1 Episode 6
This episode features the Shapeshifter. This episode has a lot of gore in it, some good scary moments and great action, especially the fight between Shapeshifter Dean and Sam. However this episode like the previous episodes features illogical things, except that this episode has tons of it which makes the ending kinda unbelievable. Once again I was forced to read a synopsis to understand the episode because of that.

The police seem to be like idiots in this episode but that gets turned over when they lay a very good trap. The Shapeshifter Dean morphing scene was terrifying and there is again some plot progression as we come to know how Dean was antisocial and felt left out and how Sam felt about his college friends. The Shapeshifter hints to his origins and those white eyes are scary! This episode again shows how Sam is a better hunter than Dean which is kinda ironic. Now let me go over all the illogical things that happened in this episode :-

    • Why do the Police not check the back area of the crime scene? The Police cannot be that stupid, right?
    • Why does no one notice a huge blood stain on the pole in the back area of the crime scene?
    • Why does Dean expose his gun in public and draw unwanted attention? (Note : Sam thankfully does his best to keep his gun hidden.)
    • How can Dean get overpowered by a Shapeshifter considering his experience as a hunter?
    • How can Dean escape been caught by the Police so easily?
    • How can Sam be released so quickly by the Police after been arrested?
    • How could Dean access the Impala so easily?
    • How can the Shapeshifter kidnap Becky so easily when she should be under Police Protection?
    • How can Dean escape so easily at the end? It's like the Police are not even trying to catch him!
Like I said that's a ton of illogical things. This episode has good action and gore but the illogical things and a confusing last part just ruin it.

That said, this episode gets a 6 out of 10.

Season 1-6 made Supernatural the best show of all time.
Everything after that just went overboard and repetitiv, sadly..

Still watching it to see the ending and because we still get some nice episodes now and then.

    Season 1 Episode 7
This episode features the Hook Man Spirit. After two consecutive disappointing episodes, the tide turns. This episode is very scary with elements of horror and slasher genes and it is apt to say that this is the scariest episode of Supernatural so far. The plot of this episode is very solid and so are the characters. There is slight plot progression over Sam's loss of Jessica. We also get to see Dean's jealously and his weakness over women along with seeing Dean getting involved in grave digging. The Hook been melted and reforged into Lori's necklace was a very good plot twist. This episode keeps you on edge till the end. The kiss between Sam and Lori was iffy but still ironic considering she had turned down Rich. The warning left on the wall and the dark shots of the Hook Man heighten the fear effect. A unique thing that we see in this episode was that the Impala has spotlights, that was surprising.

To conclude, Watching this episode will give you nightmares so you better take a big glass of Courage Juice before you sit down to watch it.

10 out of 10 rating, It's just an awesome episode.

Hmm, interesting you'd put 6th in there.
wouldn't the popular opinion be 1 to 5?
