Synopsis​

Third cour of Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen.

 

Episode 27 was good. Uryu was able to take out Shutara with his sternritter abilities. Ichibei also rubbed me the same way as Yamamoto. They're both extremely strong, but they're way too overconfident to the point it gets them killed. Luckily in Ichibei's case, he's able to get revived. Yhwach has also killed the Soul King now.

 

Episode 28 was great. Love how much of an absolute menace Yhwach is. Not to mention how he's just had everything go his way, ending with Ichigo killing the soul king, now named Adnyeus.

 

Episode 29 was great. Nice to get the backstory of Jushiro. RIP to see him give up himself to temporarily halt the destruction of the world. He's a real one. We also got to see Kyoraku confront Aizen and request help! Nice to see Aizen again.

 

Episode 30 was good. Ichigo vs Uryu was rough, but Ichigo couldn't go through with it like Uryu seemed to be able to. Yhwach has also absorbed he soul king. RIP.

 

Episode 31 was good. God damn, good to see Aizen in action! Gotta love Kurohitsugi. Man, even while bound to a chair and suppressed he's a beast. We've got Bazz B and the remainder of the Bambies up to join forced and get revenge on Yhwach for leaving them behind. The soul reaper force is moving to invade the royal palace. Gimmjow has also entered!

 

Episode 32 was good. Nice to get some Grimmjow and Nel! We also got to see Riruka and Yukio. Yhwach has remodeled the soul king's palace into his own image now.

 

Episode 33 was good. I forgot that Renji got a complete overhaul to his bankai. So much cooler now. Uryu was too strong though and Renji was defeated. The others are also being picked off.

 

Episode 34 was good. Kenpachi got fucked up by the left arm of the soul king. God damn, Kurotsuchi's bankai is so grotesque, but thanks to his experiments and modifying it, he was able to dispatch of the arm.

 

Episode 35 was great. Kyorakyu vs Lille has been a spectacle.

 

Episode 36 was great. Man, Nemu and Mayuri have such a complicated relationship, and Mayuri is a rather complex character. RIP to Nemi but at least thanks to both herself and Mayuri, Pernida was defeated.

 

Episode 37 was great. Still not sure how I feel about Lille's whole god form thing, but it was s till handled pretty well. Nanao/the Ise family not having their own Zanpakuto, but one passed down and the family being Shinto priests. But the weapon being the key to taking out Lille was great, same with Shunsui having some of his burden lifted.

 

Episode 38 was great. God the Haschwalth/Bazz backstory. Their fight was brutal, but Bazz didn't stand a chance.

 

Episode 39 was good. We got Askin showing off his ability, it's a troublesome one. Yushiro did well with Shunko only to be taken out. Yoruichi vs Askin now iirc. Gerard also isn't CGI and is big now, we're in for a fight here. Also, Haschwalth has confronted Uryu who has now met back up with Ichigo. Isshin and Ryuken are also about to se out.

 

Episode 40 was good. Finally Uryu revealed his colours. He is stalling Haschwalth while Ichigo and the others go for Yhwach. Isshin and Ryuken have arrived in the soul society. The Vizards have also assembled and the Bambis were taken out as Yhwach isn't sleeping.
