Musings but is suicide ever really a decision?
At least personally it doesnt matter about the music or so on but the fact that someone died no matter how or why

I have to disagree. It was his choice. As someone who has struggled with depression and has a family that has, it still is your choice. I feel bad for his family, but they will probably be well off financially and can have some time to grieve.

He killed himself. He decided life wasn't worth living. It isn't truly tragic, if anything, I'm happy he was able to go out on his own terms, better than cancer or something else taking you out

Musings it's definitely opinion i too have struggled with depression and have bipolar and also have family with it.
I mean it's your choice to end it but no one chooses to have a mental issue or be pushed to the point where they think they have no return.

I mean just talking personally ive tried to kill myself before, and that was because i couldn't escape from everything. I wouldn't have called that my fault.

It is tragic to me someone died, that's sad.

At the end of the day everyone does have some weight they need to drag around, some more than others. It isn't fair, but to me it is always going to be a choice.

As someone who was fairly close to swallowing a bottle of painkillers before finding out it would just make my stomach bleed and cause a massive amount of pain with a low risk of actual death, I still have to say it is his choice. I don't think suicide is really anyone's "fault" just one way of dying that you chose, I'd argue better than a lot of other ways to go.

Again, I have to disagree. I don't think suicide is tragic

    Truth i guess

I don't think it's fault blame games are never fun but i don't think it's like 100% that person's choice. For want of a better phrase their thinking and judgement is clouded

It's death all death is tragic to me unless the person died of old age.

It's not black and white at all. It never is.

It's is definitely not easy to act tough and put on the mask while crumbling and collapsing inside, feeling pressured, left behind, simply suffering. Most of suicidal attempts ends in failure. In "failure" because they are not exactly attempts to kill oneself. Sure, they are deadly dangerous and it can lead to death. They will cut their wrists. But cut will not be deep. And bathroom doors open wide. They want someone to find them. They want the help at last moment. They say "look at me, I am really in bad situation, help me, that may be last time to help me, and I need it and I want it". They need someone to take it seriously.

I cannot even imagine in what state of mind and body is a person that actually cuts the line with their life, what kind of suffering is that that they think "I don't want to get help anymore, I want to cease to exist". Can you?

It may be selfish when what you do influences others, for example I know that if I killed myself this would strike my family greatly and that would be selfish AF, but again what if they hated him, or despised him, what if he felt unhappy to the point of depression, there's so much more than just wrong or right with human emotions and experiences.

That saying and having somewhat unpleasant experiences in my life I can very much see how someone is led to "choose" suicide as best solution. "Choose" because depression is terrible sickness that plays with whole organism, alters the brain, fucks up emotions and view on the world. Depressed person should get professional help, but they choose not to because maybe they don't think it is best option. That's why we can talk about "victims of suicide". It is their choice but not really, because their brain is already under influence of depression which is like drugs, messes up the brain severely.

    @loj >> linkin park (without a G ;) ) has been my number 1 band for YEARS
& i have posted tribute posts on my instagram, incl a photo edit i made

i do choose them over kpop anytime without having to think about it
chester's death has devastated me.... i been crying the entire morning after i heard about it(still crying over it #forever), i love him and his music and the band with everything that i am
so this hit me pretty hard

him and the band, the music, means a lot to me and has given me hope in horrible times in my life
i don't know what i am going to do without him and the band in my life now.... it's all gone

i will NEVER get over this

....btw, find it very strange he did this, so i am not excluding murder yet
i saw him happy healthy and A OK on stage only a month ago
if a person is SO EXTREMELY MENTALLY down/ill ... there is no way in heaven you can perform in such a good state with a happy mood and laughter like i saw him doing a month ago
one of the few possible ways in my head that it was nobody else but him , is if he had voices in his head telling him to... like schizophrenia...
that wouldn't be a surprise to me considering the guy still probably drank a lot and smoked a lot, so his brains / body was probably not super healthy anymore

he left 6 children, 5 band mates (he been working with for over 20 years i think?) and a wife he truly loved, just like that? i am not buying it
