Riddle me this. 3K asus slup pc = good, right? Because it cost 3k. They want you to think that cost = quality. They're made in the same shithole factory in china or taiwan or whatever else with cheap labor. Price can to a degree be associated with quality, but it most certainly isn't the be all end all.

 

You're only focusing on one specific brand though. You need to compare different brands with similar specs, but it also entirely depends on what the phone is used for if you just use one single app at a time, etc. It's not as simple as "$300 phone bad $2000 phone good" I'd hope the phone that costs 4x more is better.

 

Yes, I would expect it in the same brand. They try to upsell you as much as possible. I wouldn't even consider the A32 or A52, A54/55 is pretty solid if you are a general user. (My mother for example). Hell, it'd probably even be fine for me.

 

Any phone will degrade over time and start to feel laggy.

 

It depends on what you define as "cheap". From my experience A54 is going strong on a year.
