Dragon Ball Super - Episode 116 Discussion

So he has about half of Ultra Instinct down, still enough to take Kefla out. How he took her out was dope too, sliding on her blast like that than a kamehameha to the face lol. Vegeta also figured out what Ultra Instinct truly is, I think all he needs is to experience a fight that will push him over his limits to get to that level too.

Oh great the magical girls appear next episode, please have 17 and 18 take them out quickly.

It looks like after finally outing that bitch kefla, Goku's exhausted again. Which is a good thing since now we can focus on other characters like Vegeta. He hasn't had that much screen time and I'm hoping they can fix that and give him some character development in the time to follow. He needs to attain Ultra instinct and prove himself to the other universes cause Jiren isn't taking him seriously and Toppa is making fun of him lol. It would be a breath of fresh air if there's a bout between goku and Vegeta at the end of the arc and Vegeta wins and saves universe 6, instead of Goku reviving frieza. Praying that ribrianne gets eliminated next episode since she comes second to kefla as one of the most annoying characters in ToP. Let's get rid of the trash already so we can focus on the more stronger ones. Additionally, it feels like both universe 2 and 6 are both in line to be wiped out real soon. Especially, universe 6 they're left off with only those 2 weak namekians. Gonna be so heart-breaking to see Universe 6 go. Anyways, this was a really fun episode and I'm in love with the extended version of ultimate battle! 5/5

 

There's a popular theory going on in the fandom that the red aura the emanates from Ultra instinct goku in the poster is Ultra instinct's attack form and Vegeta would unlock that first. I think it would make perfect sense if Vegeta mastered that first by tapping into his angry self and emotions and letting them take over his body. I also think that's why Goku's transformation was a polar-opposite since he's a carefree laid-back person. It would be really sweet to see Vegito combine those 2 resulting in a mastered UI with both qualities. This is one of most interesting theories I've seen thus far. It would also explain why Vegeta fails to mimic Goku's ultra instinct in the next episode because it's incompatible to his personality and thus it's harder which is why I also think at Vegeta's current state he's perfectly capable of using Ultra instinct if he goes about it in his own way.

 

That would be interesting, I would seriously like to see their powers start to branch away from each other in their own unique way.

 

I'm pretty sure that's all talk. Gohan and Piccolo will probably eliminate both of them and thus universe 6 getting wiped is dramatic enough to deserve an episode title. Why wouldn't Vegeta unlock the form? From what we have seen from the last episode it feels like they're foreshadowing Vegeta unlocking ultra instinct. Vegeta even goes an extra mile and says that he would master it although i don't think he's going to. I think he would at least unlock it or it would be so disappointing to see him achieving nothing after vowing to surpass Goku and win the tournament of power.

 

Are we still taking what Vegeta says seriously? Dude said he wouldn't fight ever again back in Z. lol

 

I agree plus he underwent the same training as Goku under Whis. He just needs a catalyst to unlock the form same as goku. I'm definitely hoping as I said above that he gains the ability to attack unconsciously. It definitely would be something new and original than what we're used to seeing.
