Synopsis​

Years after his father is defeated by an adolescent Gokuu Son, Magenta seeks revenge against Gokuu's family and allies. In his quest to resurrect the defunct Red Ribbon Army, Magenta drafts the services of Dr. Hedo, grandson of the evil legendary scientist Dr. Gero. Hedo embarks to invent a new line of superheroic androids to eliminate Gokuu after Magenta manipulates him into believing that Earth's most powerful heroes are actually alien villains.

While Gokuu and Vegeta train offworld, the alien Piccolo mentors Pan, Gokuu's toddler granddaughter, in the same way he once trained Gohan Son, her father. Gohan himself has forsaken his warrior lineage in order to pursue an academic career. Both Piccolo and Gohan must leap into action when their quiet lives are interrupted by the arrival of Gamma 1-gou and Gamma 2-gou—Hedo's new android creations.

While the Gamma androids believe they are fighting for justice, a more sinister project incubates beneath the Red Ribbon headquarters. Gohan and Piccolo take drastic actions to protect Pan and defend the planet against a new robotic menace.

 

I really enjoyed the movie. It was super refreshing to have Goku and Vegeta sit this one out. I was unsure how I'd feel with Piccolo as the main lead, but it was genuinely great. A good mix of comfy, chill moments, action, comedy. Was very well balanced. LMAO at Beerus and Cheelai. Vegeta finally beat Goku, albeit it was a restricted spar. Bulma does make outlandish wishes lol. Gohan went from pretty pathetic in the start to getting his shit together through the movie. Was a nice touch it wasn't a Kamehameha that finished Cell Max. I was actually even amazed by the CG. The special effects and landscapes were genuinely phenomenal and the character models, etc were fine too. I would even call it good. It definitely pandered to Cell games era Gohan fans.

@JoeJoe idk man I know you have a hate boner for DBS, but you might like this one if you are in the mood to chill out on an evening or weekend or something.

 

The CGI was genuinely good too. It's a shame new form was only for a very small segment. But I enjoyed it hope you do too man. Don't go in with high expectations and I think you'll enjoy yourself. :D

 

For sure, was super refreshing. It's a little weird due to the stylistic choice with the shading, it's like all soft. But there wasn't really any moments I found it super jarring or anything.
