Favorite video games

Here you can post your favorite games you ever played and explain why!

So I'll start:

Ori and the Blind Forest - My favorite platformer and absolute gem of all times,absolute joy to play and is very challenging just how I like it.Also has an AMAZING story which gets pretty emotional in the end.The game is just amazing I have no words to explain it,you just need to play it to enjoy the greatness!

Final Fantasy XV - IMO best FF game ever created,I like how combat isn't turn based and is very challenging as well.The story is emotional and very good(wish it was longer but I'm fine with it anyways).I got connected with the characters and I just can't wait to finish all the side quests!

Dead Space franchise - Personally my favorite FPS Horror game.I enjoyed everything about it the weapon craft,the hardness,just everything.Beat it like 9 times or so and I just love it.Very sad there wasn't announced Dead Space 4 BUT I'll be getting Prey so I hope it will be as good.

FIFA franchise - Big football fan and best football simulation...do I need to say more?

World of Warcraft - The amount of times I played this game is just WOW as the name says...Best MMORPG game IMO been playing it since TBC and stopped on MOP(mainly 'couse they fuked the game up but am yet to try the new Legion so I hope it's back how it used to be in mid WoTLK days).

Pokemon franchise - 90's kid...Pokemon...YES no need to say more.

Overwatch - At times makes me rage,overall one of the best FPS multyplayers games of all time personally.

Horizon Zero Dawn - One of the best RPG games I've ever played in my life.

I think I covered all the games I played and loved till now,I bought some games so I will update this list when I finish these games!

Currently? Overwatch, Paladins.

 

yeah, i keep my old consoles like religious figures, and they still work fine.

sadly, the spyro 2 disk decided to abandon me so i'm forced to emulate that one. I will definitely buy another original one, though.

Quake III Arena - basically what got me into video games in my youth. I used to admire my bro who was one of the best players on LAN where I live, and I still remember getting my ass stomped into gibs. I enjoyed coming back to it every now and then.

Half-Life - This was another series that I enjoyed, and mostly because of an active modding scene, both in the first one and the sequel (Half-Life 3 probably never). The story, the setting was damn immersive and I the amount of satisfaction of finishing it the first time was just great. Also I still despise these ******* ugly barnacle shits that are just waiting for you to stumble upon their tongue and devour you whole to this day, nothing matches the level of creepiness as these motherfuckers.

Unreal Tournament - Another arena shooter, and the rival to Q3A. Despite constant arguments between the UTfags and Quakefags, I enjoyed and played both simultaneously.

Warcraft - Good ol' Warcraft III. Amazing story, competitive multiplayer and pretty sweet graphics for a 2002 game. The first thing was what hooked me in to World of Warcraft later on, and I still follow the story of the Warcraftverse, however convoluted it got recently.

Battlefield - I got into BF around 2011, and I still fondly remember playing BFP4F (rip in pepperoni) and BF3. It was my first time I got invested into modern FPS MP. Never tried the newer ones, though.

Paradox GS (Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Victoria II and Hearts of Iron) - I got to Grand Strategy genre quite recently, but I've been spending much time playing these for the sheer perspective of "What would the world look like if something happened differently than it did in our history?" Bonus points for the save compatibility through converters, so you can play one campaign spanning an entire ******* millennium through all four games simultaneously, if you have the patience to do that.

Paladins - Got hooked in this one recently as well. Basically FPS with MOBA elements, just like Overwatch.

 

In no particular order, my top five would be:

League of Legends: Yeah this game pisses me off often, and Riot often does dumb crap, but not many other games are as fun to be stomping in, while still needing to be careful about what the hell you're doing. Every champion's so variable, yeah they all have the "best" way for them to be played, but I'd rather take a tank with a ton of stuns and innate tanking abilities and build attack damage and crit and wreck face. That and the youtube community has some great and hilarious members, like Anklespankin and RossBoomSocks, or BrickyOrchid8. Still have to put up with trash like NB3 and Brofesco...

Monster Hunter Tri/3U: Seriously a great game, with so much effort put into it. All the weapons and armour have their own looks and effects and uses, even their own individual sounds for each weapon. Every monster has their own style and way they fight, even if it's freaking spamming a circular turn that somehow does MORE FUCKING DAMAGE THAN A LIGHTNING STORM TO HFEWFEW GRGNERJHBG OJHERG and each fight can be either impossible or easy depending on personal skill and ability to read the monsters moves, and act accordingly based on your equipment and what you need to be doing, whether that be severing a tail or poking an eye or simply doing an awesome kill against a massive serpent, drawing your blade and slicing his face open while slaying him when the charge would've killed you. Or getting trolled by Cha cha. Anyway awesome game.

Stellaris: For a Paradox game, this is an oddly open and rather non-Europey game, and it shows what they can do when they're done focusing on only Europe. Battleships, lasers, missiles, mass murdering holy butterfly aliens, annoying starfish, ancient genocidal robots, space whales, hive minds, there's so much to the game that it's got so much replayability. That and if you need a nap it's music is perfect.

Age of Wonders series: All these games are great, all three are still fun as hell and quite unique from each other. While not the greatest in any one area, they deliver on a lot more that other games of the genre can't, just by being decent at everything available. Homm delivers the best combat, Civ the best empire building, and so on, whereas Age of Wonders just gives it all at an above average level.

The original Halo Trilogy: Great games, with amazing music and a great narrative that doesn't overly intrude on the game, with one of my favourite multiplayers out there. A lot of the moments are truly unique to it, like fighting two Scarabs in Halo 3 or the mausoleum battle of Halo 2, and it inspired a great series of novels and comics and shorts.
