Second season of Goblin Slayer.

 

Episode 1 was ok. Priestess is in year two of her adventuring and some new faces have joined up. One is a rather cocky young boy who also has a fixation on slaying goblins. Seems like he overestimates himself. He's apparently a wizard. It's been set up for Priestess to get more experience by being the leader of his group so that she can get a rank advancement.

 

Episode 2 was ok. I'm a little confused, the whole party has tagged along and still mostly Goblin Slayer pulling the shots, despite it meant to have been Priestess. As expected, the rookie is not dealing well with the reality of goblins and what they do to people. Additionally, it turns out his sister was one of the girls killed with Priestess' first party.

 

Episode 3 was good. Goblin Slayer had a night out with the boys lol. Man, that boy is super obnoxious with how edgy/shitty he is to people. Priestess is going to team up with the rookie girl that they showed to label stuff in the guild. In general, they're also helping the newbies. Episode ended with a goblin attack on the way.

 

Episode 4 was ok. Things went well enough, Priestess and the rookies helped save the other group of rookies getting attacked by goblins, while Goblin Slayer and the more experienced adventurers destroyed the next and dealt with the tunnel.

 

Episode 5 was an interesting turn. Elf's sister is getting married, so they're off to a wedding lol.

 

Episode 6 was good. The group fended off the goblin attack and arrived at the elf village. We got to meet Elf's sister and brother in law. Seems like a dinosaur at the end too?

 

Episode 7 was good. The party has headed out to take out the group of goblins. Apparently none have ever returned, so they might be in for a tough battle.

 

Episode 8 was good. Was rough for them. Kind of surprised how they were almost done in, felt a bit forced. Priestess was able to save them and then she had a breakdown over attacking and possibly killing a goblin... Did Lizardman propose to the Elf..? I thought she liked Goblin Slayer. Maybe was in jest, but it didn't seem like it. We're also getting snips of what looks like adventurers in another world?

 

Episode 9 was good. Interesting those adventurers were very glad to have not run into goblins, even though they seem so capable? Goblin Slayer and team also dealt with a sea serpant type monster. They've also escorted the Arch Bishop to the capital.

 

Episode 10 was good. Poor Priestess had her things stolen and it was the princess too! Granted, the princess didn't really understand it would cause so much distress and just wanted to go on her own adventure. She was taken out of town and her and the man attacked by goblins. The man fled and she was captured. I love how Goblin Slayer's party rock up after being told "I knew it was Goblins, I'll go" Funny. He's so narrow minded.

 

Episode 11 was good. Well, the group was warned by Sword Maiden against the dangers of where they're going. They tracked down the place and took care of the 20 goblins very efficiently saving the captured princess. She was roughed up but looked fine for hte most part. We also got another cut to those other adventurers fighting some monster/creature that absorbed goblins seemingly.

 

Episode 12 was good. So seemingly the goblins were all taken out but the priest was alive long enough to try and summon a demon. I don't know if it was the full demon, seems like the entire summoning failed and it was merely the arm. But damn it was rough. The group almost died but pulled through. Then when exiting, they were surrounded by goblins. Thankfully Sword Maiden showed up with others and dealt with the goblins. Turns out the plot was orchestrated by someone that wanted to take power and overthrow the king.

 

It's definitely does get stale. It basically just repeats itself. I guess it's expected when basically all that the main party does is hunt goblins.
