Monitoring the competition is the hot-headed yet powerful Vamirio—one of the Four Heavenly Kings. Among all the participants, she is extremely distrustful of one: Helck, a human hero who claims to hate humanity. As much as she wants to get rid of him, it is impossible due to Helck's incredible strength and popularity.

Episode 1 was good. Starts out introducing Helck, a human hero from the Human Realm who has battled his way through the preliminary round in the tournament to become the next Demon Lord.

The Hero is the one who defeated the previous Demon Lord. Three months later, the tournament to select the next Demon King is taking place in the Demon Realm. Vermilio is one of the four lords and is the one managing the tournament. Hon is her assistant, and when she enquired about the status, Helck, the favoured candidate was pointed out to her. Vermilio absolutely lost her mind. xD To start with she's angry a human is even allowed to participate, as they're meant to be excluded. xD The crowd of demons love Helck, and when he mentioned hating the human race and wanting to destroy them all, this had them cheering him harder. Vermilio is just crashing out about how it's a lie obviously. xD

Monitoring him a bit longer, they saw him defeat another demon in combat, before ominously walking towards the defeated demon. Vermilio was extremely confident his plan was to kill the demons as he went, only for Helck to help him up. xD

The next challenge they tried to rig, was building a house of cards, and they gave Helck extra glossy cards to make it extra hard. In the end, despite him being behind a lot, he clapped his hands to focus, causing a massive wind to knock everyone else's cards over, allowing him to pull the win. xD

Vermilio herself was going to be one of the judges in the next round, which was to do with making a dessert. Helck's was too good, so she rated it a 10. xD

As it turns out, it's revealed that there were actually two heroes this time. Helck and his brother, and apparently Helck killed his brother. There are reports coming in that towns of demons are empty, with the people seemingly vanishing.

Episode 2 was good. Hon's next idea to get rid of Helck is a horse race. Vermilio had her doubts, but Hon assured her that a "special" steed was prepared. xD All of the other racers have larger demon horse things and Helck just has some little pup. xD Vermilio started raging out at Hon again because of there being no way for the audience to believe the blatant sabotaging, only for them to eat it up. xD

The race starts off strong and Vermilio is loving it. All of the other contestants race off with Helck going absolutely nowhere. xD He seems to think it's because his got spooked with the noise. The two favoured actual demons are in the lead, as expected. The woman Hyura and the man Kenros.

Helck pulled a surprising move and started just running with his mount. The mount is running under him and he's running over it. LMAO. Vermilio is not a happy camper and wanted him to be disqualified but then many others would too. xD

It ends up with Helck literally just running carrying the pup. LMFAO. xD He bursts into the lead, with Kenros deciding to also just run. Helck wins, with Kenros in second place barely, and Hyura coming in third. They all advance onto the finals.

Another demon Ista came with a message that in their infiltration of Castle Uram where the Demon Lord resided, there are no humans but 103 winged knights there including a leader. With this, Azudra, another demon that had been badly injured and was recovering suggested to use the clearing of Castle Uram and defeating of their leader to be the next exam. Whoever can reclaim the castle and defeat the leader will become the next Demon Lord. His nickname for Vermilion really gets her mad. xD

The final four are Helck, Hyura, Kenros and Dorshe. Vermilion under the disguise of Anne will be accompanying them.

Episode 3 was good. So the human realm seems free of the toxin that plagues the demon realm. The only reason those in the demon realm are safe is due to the protective barriers around their towns and other locations. Without it, they'd all basically be dead.

With Vermilio, Helck, Hyura, Kenros and Dorshe on their way to Castle Uram, they're being attacked by groups of monsters spawned by the toxin. They really seems like the real demon beings. In the end, Vermilio took them out with her fire magic allowing them to proceed to a safe zone.

Hyura seems like the smart one out of the other four, minus Vermilio. She already figured out "Anne's" true identity of Vermilio. She also warned Kenros about it too, so they would keep in line. Vermilio told them to just keep acting like she's an average person. Meanwhile, Helck cooked up one hell of a meal for the group! It had eggplant which Vermilio hates, and in the end she ate it and ended up liking even that. xD

As they continue their journey, they keep running into stronger monsters due to being in an area with a stronger amount of the toxin. They are managing it fine though, at least until they ran into a New-World lifeform, a large powerful monster. They were very cautious and Vermilio w as going to deal with it, before Helck stepped up. He took it out with a single kick. xD We also saw his sword which is tiny. LMAO xD.

It's also revealed that Azudra was the one to point Helck to the tournament. He met him after a mission he did when he visited Castle Uran. Vermilio thought that Helck injured him, but he was injured by his own traps. xD

After finally getting into Castle Uran's area, Hyura made her dash to take out the leader, only for it to take her arm. Seems she very much underestimated its strength, and is in grave danger.

Episode 4 was good. Right when the leader knight was going to finish off Hyura, Helck called him out by name, Edil. He picked him out by the way he handled his sword, having seen him do it for years. The winged knights are human under the armor, and it seems like he's a rarity in keeping his individuality/personality. The awakening process must be terrible, as he mentioned how bad it was watching others go through it. Apparently the "awakening" allows them to tap into incredible powers, which can evolve further and they call themselves heroes. I suspect they're some fake hero experiments or something. This spooked Vermilio though, as Helck and Cless both being heroes was already extremely odd.

Hyura made a complete surprise reappearance having regenerated her arm. She used the moment to take Edil's wing. She's from a certain race which has ridiculous regenerative abilities, The Ahald Tribe. When Hyura was going for the finishing blow, Helck blocked her sword with his arm brace. Apparently, killing the winged knights is a bad idea. I suppose it allows them to be reborn and grow even stronger. Edil ended up killed by one of his own, and Helck and the others fell down into a hole that opened up underground.

They ended up falling before some gate set up to a portal which had been deemed a failure. It was actively sucking them in. Dorshe put up a barrier which held for a time, and Vermilio ended up deciding to move out of the barrier and explode the stone powering the gate. To a degree, Vermilio succeeded, but she still ended up being sucked in. Helck grabbed her arm at the end, so they were at least together. It looks like they ended up teleporting to the Human Realm.

Episode 5 was good. Azudra and the others found out about Vermilio's disappearance, and Azudra was an absolute wreck. xD

Vermilio thinks they're at the edge of the continent, so not the human realm as I thought. Following some sound, she found Helck having just finished up building a house for shelter and to use as a base of operations. xD It's very fortunate the island they've landed on off the edge of the continent has an abundance of resources, so they don't need to worry about food. Vermilio is getting really tilted as Helck's blasé attitude. xD He just takes everything in stride. Right when she questioned if it could get any worse, it started pouring with rain. xD She didn't want to go into the house Helck built, but he just picked her up and carried her there. LMAO.

When Azudra, Hon and Isuta are discussing their predicament with the humans turned winged knights, everything is pointing towards a confrontation, only for Azudra to double down on rescuing Vermilio as he thinks they cna't do anything without her. xD This is when they find out she's off the continent map they have.

While Vermilio is fishing she deliberates about Helck and his possible motives. She's still not sure if he truly is on their side. She does get a fish on the line, only for the "battle" to snap the line. xD Helck jumps in to catch it for her, only to bring up some horse creature from the bottom of the ocean. LMAO.

The next day, Vermilio wakes up to knocking. Turns out the island has some inhabitants, which look a bit odd. That's where Helck has gotten some supplies, from their village. This is when she finds out Helck is already in the process of getting wood to build a boat. She rushes to find him to hold him up, otherwise she thinks it'll be back to square one if Helck gets back. It's less of a boat and more of a raft Helck built, but he still doesn't know where they are either, aside from being on an island, so they don't know specifically the direction to get back. There were also some ruins that looked familiar to Vermilio on the beach. They also had some ominous figure that has approached them that seems in for a fight. Might be the village chief though.

Episode 6 was good. The hooded individual lead them away ominously. Even Helck recognises they need to be cautious. Once they got to a specific point in the path, he reiterated if they thought they'd by hospitable to some vagabonds... only to confirm that's exactly their intent. LMAO xD.

They supplied a large feast, for which Vermilio and Helck were grateful for. The chief also shared that Helck had agreed to help them with their own issues for the supplies, so it has been a back and forward help. There's a great witch on the mountain who used to be friendly with the villagers, before she set up a magic barrier to stop anyone from climbing the mountain to see her, instead, they end up back down the bottom. The chief thinks it's due to her constantly getting bugged, but s he's due to visit them soon, so they'll ask her for directions back to the main continent.

Vermilio went fishing with the villagers, and did have a good time. But when Helck and her were having dinner, she confessed to being a little annoyed at not being left alone. But she didn't want to refuse them due to being grateful for their help.

When Vermilio questioned Helck as to why he helped her, he was straight up just because she's his friend. xD He was moved by the trust and support he's received since coming to the demon realm. Vermilio when asked him about Edil and Helck told her how he was a very righteous person and they'd known each other for years. When she questions if he'll be able to fight against the winged knights, Helck confirms he can due to having a score to settle. He also says that they can't be considered human once awakened. They're just puppets following the King's order. Helck says they'll cause trouble for ever race in the world, so he wants to stop them and wipe them out.

Switching over to Dorshe, Kenros and Hyura, we see they've been fighting off and defeating many of the armoured knights. Three others that have retained their individuality have landed, and seems they were comrades with Edil. They chastised the way he gave some details up to the enemy and are intent on killing them all thinking one of them is likely to be the next demon lord. Things are dire fore the demons, and Dorshe and Hyura insist on Kenros running with his speed to get reinforcements while they try to hold out. Luck was on their side, as reinforcements showed up in the form of Isuta, Rococo, Hon and Azudra. Azudra is wearing a mask to hide his fury, although it's a bit goofy. xD

Azudra pleads for the winged knights to leave. He doesn't want more bloodshed and just wants to co-exist with the humans again like they used to, before the current King took over when there was a coup. When they declined he took his stance to defend the demons, and unleashed his magic which is to do with nature/wood. He seems to have dealt with them effortlessly.

Episode 7 was good. So Azudra's special ability is being able to manipulate any tree as long as the roots remain in the empire, which makes him incredibly strong. He actually had the winged knights cornered, which is when another unit of them appeared being archers. It seemed like they were aiming for the group of demons, but they were actually aiming for the Winged Knights. While right now the "heroes" are too weak, when they die they are resurrected, and even stronger.

When revived, they're revived in front of the king. The king is using magic that Azudra has seen used once before to revive a hero. As long as the caster is a live, they will continue to revive. The key to undoing it is to kill the caster, in this case, the king. All of them are completely loyal to the king, and basically can't disobey him.

Their current priorities are rescuing Vermilio, the winged knights, the monsters to the east, the absence of a demon lord, and finally Helck. While currently against many enemies, they're holding off, but the looming threat of the winged soldier continuously growing stronger will eventually lead to them losing and being eradicated. It seems like the king may be either a support/magic hero, or possibly another being entirely. It's possible but doubtful he's a regular human.

Azudra sent off some items to Vermilio to help her. Her favourite fruit a mandarin, the deep green pathfinder (to point back to the empire), and some words of encouragement. Unfortunately, Piwi was the one to find them, and ate the fruit. When Vermilio was cooking and trying to start a fire, Piwi used the other things to help keep the fire going. LMAO. xD

Episode 8 was good. Vermilio continues to warm up to Helck, especially after hearing his backstory. Kabano brought good news, the witch was visiting the village! Vermilio rushed over as soon as she could, but missed her. Helck arrived shortly after as well. Apparently Kabano had a nap on the way to tell Vermilio, so fucked them over. xD The chief came through for them, and told the witch about them, so they have her permission to visit.

As they near the house on the mountain, Vermilio senses that the witch is incredibly powerful. Knocking on the door, a larger Piwi answers the door, and they naturally think that's the witch. xD She approaches them from behind, and she's a younger looking woman, seemingly a demon as well. She looks a lot like Vermilio, just older and a lot taller.

Sure enough, Shunova does know the location of the continent and provides some direction there. She warns them to prepare though, in terms of supplies. She also tells them to find a rare animal, a Corstag, as they swim back to the continent, so they can use it for navigating, especially during the heavy fog/mist. Turns out, that was the creature Helck caught way back when. xD Despite being rare, he found/caught a total of 5. LMAO.

Shunova also issues a warning to Vermilio, that Helck is far more dangerous than she can imagine. While he's currently a comrade on their side, his current goals can make him go down a dark path.

Having set off, Helck and Vermilio don't make it too far before finding Piwi is a stowaway. xD Although, the Shunova intentionally sent him to help. They also run into a giant sea monster creature, looks like a kraken. During the night, they find themselves in a tough spot, being dragged into a whirlpool while also being attacked by the same monster from earlier.
