A special edited version of the Fish-Man Island arc from One Piece with an enhanced contemporary visual look.

 

Episode 1 was ok. Not sure how I feel about the look. Not a fan of how heavy the grain is with the added wano filter. I think the line thickness is also even thicker than wano was, which looks worse. Not to mention it's too thick on the faces, so it looks bad there too. Even the background character faces look like ass. Idk how I feel about the addition of gradients on some surfaces like Usopp's hair, doesn't look great. I don't really like the haki effects too, not to mention the image being reframed with zooming/cropping.

For the episode itself, it's just the start of the crew slowing meeting back up after the 2 year timeskip. We've got the fake crew unbelievably running around with everyone believing them even Chopper. Always thought this was dumb.

 

Episode 2 was good. It sure was nostalgic to see the fake straw hats outed and the real Luffy and then Sanji and Zoro take out a Pacifista each.

 

Yes, they're cutting it down. I'm only watching it out of habbit of watching OP on Sunday.

 

They cut a few manga scenes out, so i don't think it's that specifically

I doubt it too long too many issues aside from just pacing.

 

Episode 3 was ok. The SHs left Saboady and are on their way to Fishman Island now.

 

Episode 4 was alright. Just on their way to fishman island. Luffy beat the kraken and they had the encounter with Karibou.

 

Episode 5 was ok, not much happened. Just getting to fishman island still and they've now encountered the new fishman pirates.

 

Episode 6 was good. Nice to see Fishman Island! Poor Sanji is in trouble because of Ishilly hiding him in her bust.

 

Episode 7 was alright. Nice to see Shyarly again! Lol at Nami cleaning out the store. Shirahoshi enters next week!

 

Episode 8 was ok. Strawhats were taken to the castle by Neptune only for them to attempt to detain them. Luffy also met Shirahoshi.

 

Episode 9 was good. Zoro negotiating the "hostage" situation. Also have the new fishman pirates starting their plot. Luffy has taken Shirahoshi outside!
