Nika was the dude who either actually had powers which was transferred to the fruit or ate the fruit very long ago and people perceived him as God.

Zunesha explicitly states Joyboy is back when Luffy went gear 5th so it pretty clear that Joyboy was one of the Gomu Gomu user.

Also just eating Gomu Gomu won't make you Nika you need to awaken aka Gear 5th so there may have been multiple Gomu Gomu user but only few or 3 have achieved full potential

Just by the way Vega was talking, made me think Nika and Joyboy had same powers but had no connection to one another.

Because one is a fable which is fiction and one actually happened.

Both were characterized in the same way. Just thought that one never ate the fruit and one was naturally stretchy so people call Luffy SunGod or Nika due to similar powers.
