    Read it this morning, and i must say, this is advancing at a nice pace. I like how kuga and souma are similiar in what they said when first meeting the elite ten, and all the mean while i like the type of character the second seat is. Having said that, it seems nobody actually won? Lol, and also it would seem that souma will get to see the first cook in person, that's going to be great. I like how erinas dad was presented, and how she seemed scared shitless, though she is still best girl.

    A bit of a spoiler ahead,

    The mangaka said, "erina will start falling for souma in the coming chapters" so that should be interesting. Credits to joshu for telling me, hope to see that soon. Souma probably challenges her dad or something, lol.

    She'll probably start when she finds out that he is her idol's son. Good chapter, Souma's plan was hilarious. The parallels between Soma and Kuga were cool, also looks like Souma didn't win the competition, but he's definitely got Kuga's attention. Got to see Rindou's personality this week too, I like her so far. I found it odd how her eye and hair color are the same as Souma's though, maybe they could be related? We don't know Souma's family apart from his dad.

    I hope that's not how it happens or else it would suck, it would be better if she finds out after starting to like him.

    Yeh, i like her too, she's interesting so i'm hoping the first seat is too. That aside, i noticed that as well, but who knows? We'll find out soon enough though, and i would like to see what's going to happen when souma and the first seat meet up. Also, wonder what hayama will do or play a part in.

    Every chapter makes me like the art style more and more. Anyway...

    This chapter was nice. Though Souma wasn't the victor, the chapter has made his growth very evident. A real Shokugeki between Kuga and Souma would be entertaining to watch.

    On another note, I didn't expect Erina's father to appear. He has a mysterious atmosphere about him, and I look forward to seeing more of him in the coming chapters.

    I'm not sure if it's a case of a bad relationship per se, but I think he's one of "those" fathers that pushes their children because of their expectations to perform.

    That's exactly what I was thinking. Knowing Erina's family, her father must be a cooking industry bigwig and must have towering expectations.

    That's the most likely explanation, and I wouldn't doubt it either. I don't know who else could push Erina to the point of such brilliance as a cook, other than a desire to be like Souma's father.
