How to disable and change your post rank bars​

First, click on your username in the navigation bar.

Then, click on Privacy to go to the Privacy options page.

The Red Box "Show Rank Banner" is where you can enable and disable your rank bar.

In the Green box, you can choose which rank bar you want to be shown. You can only choose the rank bars which you have achieved by getting the required post counts.

Once you are done, click on Save and your choices will come into effect.

Username Change Guide​

So, do you want to know how to change your username ? Then take a look at this guide which will be given by @Rohan !

First of all this is @Rohan's current username. He will be changing his username to Reznor.

Step - 1 : Click on your username on the navigation bar (Red Box).

Step - 2 : Click on "Change Username" on the dropdown that appears (Red Box).

Step - 3 : This will take you to the "Username Change" page. In the "New Username" box, you type the new username that you want (The Red Box). Here is a direct link to the page : Username Change Page. Click on "Change Username" (Green Box) to continue.

Step - 4 : You will be taken to a confirmation page now. Click on "Change Username" (Green Box) to change your username.

The Red box shows the "New Username" that you will get.

The Green Box shows "Change Username". Clicking on this will change your old username to the new username that you want.

The Orange Box shows "Cancel". This will cancel the entire Username Change Process.

Step - 5 : By following the above process, as you can see @Rohan was able to change his name from Rohan to Reznor.

F.A.Q's on Username Change

Q. Is there a limit to Username changes ?
A. There is no limit, you change your username as many times as you want.

Q. Will special characters like alphabets : 'σ' or symbols : '★' work in a Username Change ?
A. Yes, special characters work in the Username Change process.

Q. What will happen to my old username ?
A. Your old username will be removed from the member database which means anyone can easily take it !

Q. The name that I want is taken. What should I do to get the taken name ?
A. You can either use special character alphabets to mimic the name or contact an Administrator : Staff List.

 

Unique Username and Usertitle customization​

For Pro Users​

Want to give your username and User Title a unique look ? Follow the instructions to know how to do it !

First click on your username on the navigation menu.

On the dropdown that appears click on "Personal Details".

Clicking on that will re-direct you to this page known as Personal Details. Here is a Direct link to Personal Details.

Now to describe the options.

Clicking on the color dropdowns will give you a color picker by which you can choose a color and apply it.

"Custom Title" - This is where you put the text that you want to be your custom title. Please note that putting Image Codes will not work in your User Title. Please use text only for best results.

"Custom Username Color" - Clicking on this dropdown will give you colors to apply to your username.

"Custom Usertitle Color" - Clicking on this dropdown will give you colors to apply to your User Title.

"Reset to default" - Clicking on this option will rest your chosen color to the default username color of the theme you are using.

"Select font type icon" - Clicking on this will bring a dropdown where you can choose a font icon for your username. As this is a font icon, you can choose a color for the icon on the color dropdown at the right.

"Select server type icon" - Clicking on this will bring a dropdown where you choose custom images as an username icon. As this is a custom made image, you cannot choose a color for the icon.

Setting your Custom CSS Username​

In the red box, you will put the CSS to give a style to your username.

The green box shows how your username will look with the code. If you used white color text CSS, the "Example" text will be white in color.

The "syntax that will not be valid here" list shows the CSS that will not work in username styling.

Custom CSS Username Guidelines

• You are free to experiment with the CSS to get a unique style for your username but please practice restraint. Do not use username styles which will have a negative effect on the forum look and other members. Some examples of such username styles would be 1) Using seizure inducing images as your username background image, 2) Using extreme spacing in the letters of your username, etc. Such username styles will be removed by the staff.
• If your Pro subscription runs out, the code in the CSS box will still apply. Meaning you will still retain the unique username style you had just before your Pro ran out. You will only be able to change it to another username style by getting Pro again. In case you want to revert your username to the default username style after your Pro runs out, please contact an administrator.

After you are done choosing the look of your username, click on "Save Changes".

After that your username and User Title will appear as you choose it.

If you want to change your username and usertitle look again, repeat the above process.

Becoming a Forum Moderator​

There isn’t really that much to it. The staff of SugoiDesu, are always taking note of the good things that you do to help the growth and expansion of SugoiDesu. When the opportunity arises, when in need of new staff, people will be carefully and thoughtfully selected, and approached about the position.

Q: What if I think I’ll be an exceptional addition to SD’s staff team? Can I approach the staff about making me a member of their team?!

A: Whilst, yes, you could. It is not recommended. There is a good chance that this will lessen chances of you getting a position if one were to arise and you were a candidate. Why? It’s somewhat annoying and can be difficult to word a declination of a position without seeming like Hitler. We look equally at everyone when coming to a decision.

Q: By who is the decision made by?

A: Not any single one person. Choices are thoroughly discussed amongst the staff, and we come to the conclusion based on the candidate that we believe would be the best for the situation. If you are not chosen, please DO NOT be discouraged. We can assure it is nothing personal or biased, just what we believe is best for both SD and you, the members. Who knows? There may be need for another staff member closer than you think, and you may be picked!

Keep in mind that our decision is almost always never final. Even if you don't get a chance the first try, you will eventually. Your only job is meeting the criteria to become one accurately.

Q: What about Global Moderators? Can I become one?!

A: Not from scratch. If a new Global Moderator is needed, we will pick a member from our current Moderators to fill the position, and then get a new moderator to fill the empty position.

Note: Whilst SD is still only small, we are not in need of as many staff as would be the case if we gained hundreds of new active members. When and as, SD expands, so will our staff team!

Also keep in mind that moderator applications still exist. That will be the chance for you to show that you truly meet the criteria.

As an after note it is still possible for the regular member to just have a few extra permissions. This depends on the situation though, if they are a host for something in a section, they will have the ability to close, delete threads, etc. in said section.

Uploading Avatar, Signature and Profile Cover​

First click on your username in the navigation bar.

Then, you will come across this.

"Signature" (Red Box) is where you can upload a Signature. Direct link to Signature Editor.

"Avatar" (Blue Box) is where you can upload an Avatar. Direct link to Avatar Editor.

"Upload Cover" (Purple Box) is where you can upload a Profile Cover. Direct link to Profile Cover Upload.

On Avatars :-

The maximum size of Normal member's avatar is 150 Width X 300 Height.

The maximum size of Pro member's avatar is 180 Width X 360 Height.

On Profile Covers :-

In order to upload an image as your Profile Cover, it must have 850 Pixels Width.

After you have uploaded your cover, go to your profile by clicking on "Your Profile Page" (Green Box).

On your profile cover, you will see a camera icon (Green Box). On clicking that, you will get this.

"Upload Cover" : By clicking on this you can upload another image as your profile cover.

"Reposition Cover" : By clicking on this you can re-position your profile cover.

If you want to change your Profile Cover you will have to upload a new image as a Profile Cover. Normal members however cannot remove the Profile Cover so you will have to contact an Administrator who can remove it for you : Staff List.

Sugoi Desu Pro User Subscriptions​

Features:

How to obtain SD Pro Subscription​

• Participate in SD Contests
• Participate in SD Events
• Play in SD Forum Games
• Buy it in SD Pro Subscription Purchase Thread by using Keno.
• Be an active member (This means you must have a regular posting trend on the forum)
• Get it for contributing to SD (Hosting contests, making chapter discussion threads, etc)
• New members will be given 1000 Keno for registering. They can use the Keno to buy a one month Pro Subscription as thanks for registering in the SD Pro Subscription Purchase Thread.

Q: Can the Pro subscription be transferred to other members?
A: Yes, it can be transferred. Read the quote below to know how.

Q: What would happen to my uploaded custom banner when my Subscription ends?
A: Your uploaded custom banner will be blocked and will not appear on your profile or mini profile anymore. However you can retrieve the image link of your banner from personal details.

Q: What will happen to my profile YouTube video when I do not have pro?
A: It will still exist but will not be displayed without Pro.

Q: Does the Pro Subscription add onto your remaining time if you buy or earn more?
A: Yes, if you have 7 days left and get 30 days, you will have 37 days remaining of the subscription.

Q: If I get banned, will the Pro Subscription Timer be paused ?
A: No, the timer won't stop if you get banned so your Pro will end up been wasted.

 

Forum Awards​

Here you can find a list of all awards used in Sugoi Desu. This includes current awards and retired awards.

• Special Awards: These awards are given to members who do something special.

• Contest Awards: These awards are given to members who have won a SD Contest.

• Game Awards: These awards are given to members who have won a SD Forum Game.

• Event Awards: These awards are given to members who have participated in a Forum Event.

• Tournament Awards: These awards are given to members who have participated in a SD Tournament.

How to organize your awards on your Mini Profile
​

If you are awarded an Award, it will be displayed on your Profile as well as your Mini Profile. All awards that you have obtained will be shown on your Profile, but only four awards can be visible on the Mini Profile like you can see below (Red Box).

You can customize the order of the awards in your Mini profile. This means you can make certain awards that you have show in a certain order on your Mini Profile. In order to do this, Click on your username on the navigation bar and then click on "Your Profile Page" (Orange Box).

Once you are in your profile, click on the "Awarded Medals" Tab (Red Box).

This will open up the list of all awards that you have obtained. At the bottom, you need to click a box called "Organise Medals" (Red Box)

Doing the above will take you to the Medal Organisation page. Here is a direct link: Medal Organisation.

In the picture above, you will see four options "Top", "Bottom", "Up" and "Down" on each award.

• Top- Clicking on this will make that award go to the top of the list.
• Bottom- Clicking on this will make that award go to the bottom of the list.
• Up- Clicking on this option will make that award go up by one spot.
• Down- Clicking on this option will make that award go down by one spot.

The top four awards in the list will appear in your Mini Profile. Example:-

The process is automatic so you don't need to click on any Save button. With that you can organize your medals!

 

As you all may have noticed, next to your username, alert and message icons, there is something called Keno. This is a currency system that we are implementing here on Sugoi Desu! for a variety of purposes. One of them, as many have already asked and learnt about, is the RP that is making its way to the forum. While it will be used outside of the RP section of the forum, users are to use this currency to purchase items around the forum such including, but not limited to, GFX. It is a very basic form of economy, essentially.

Essentially, with Keno, you can buy or sell anything that has a price tag on it.

If you get scammed, please be sure to report the user to us.
