The Ai and Ko theme

Do you like this shitty theme being the default theme of Sugoi Desu? This theme features the Sugoi Desu mascots, "Ai" and "Ko," the twin brother-sister duo. Note: themes can be changed at any moment. Vote in the Poll above and give your opinions below.

Actually no. It's not bad as a lot of effort has been done to make those artworks. It is actually very good. My question is whether it deserves to be a default theme. Would it give a good impression or bad impression to first time guests? Will a newbie guest register if he sees such a theme or not?

P.S: Keep in mind that most newbies are noobs who would have no idea that a theme changer exists. So when you look from their perspective, they will only consider the default theme.

 

You mean the little button that let's you change which theme displays on the site? It's in the same location as any other xenforo forum hu hu +.+

Not everybody knows that. I have seen people who have been on a forum for three years asking how to change themes. Then again if people are changing it, then it's proof that it doesn't give a good impression.

Musings well everyone is going to have a different favourite preference and it can be nice to rotate themes

It has good artwork but a bad subject matter.

The characters are drawn very well but first timers won't join if they see a catgirl and a catboy on the default theme.

It's basically a symbol of extreme weabooism. It wouldn't leave a good impression on the average manga fan and he wouldn't join.

Hence why it should not be default.

Musings but they're bright cute and fun - theyre also broad giving off the air that the forum covers a broad range of topics. Also if they're judging the forum off it's header/cover then =.=

 

To be fair, I think we threw trying not to be weeb af considering the site is called Sugoi Desu.

Honestly, I think this has a lot of implications. For a community that is centered around Anime and Manga we all seem to be near obsessed with the concept of looking too weaboo to newcomers. I don't think this is a realistic thing to really think about. This comes with the territory, to be frank. Where exactly do you draw the line with what is too weaboo and what isn't?

Overall, the default skin looks fine. We have our Mascots, they looking good - the forum looks clean and uniform. At the end of the day this is literally a discussion over the usage of cat ears and to be honest that's the most weaboo thing on this forum
