Synopsis
​

Although he attends the Royal Magic Academy in the Kingdom of Wenias, Sable has the worst grades in the entire school. As he has no memories of his time before attending the institution, when Headmaster Albus tasks him with a special training regimen in the south, Sable eagerly accepts it. Alongside the Dawn Witch, Roux Cristasse; Holt, a human girl with antlers; and Kudd, a lizard Beastfallen, Sable must establish a village of witches in a region where anti-witch sentiment remains strong.

During their journey, the quartet avoids former members of the Dia Ignis Arbiters—a group of witch hunters notorious for murdering witches and civilians alike. Five years ago, their organization was disbanded and given amnesty with the end of the war between the Church and witches, but their members still linger and are ready to capture any mages they come across.

Thankfully, with Roux's Staff of Ludens, the "witch-eater," and Sable's unlimited supply of magic, the group may be able to accomplish their mission for Albus. If not, Sable's memories of magic and the academy will be taken away, and he will be left with nothing to guide him to the silver-haired mage who first rescued him.

Episode 1 was interesting. So the kid, Sable has the worst grades and was picked for a special program along with some top performers. If he doesn't improve he'll be expelled and his memories of magic/the school sealed. Those are also his only memories. There are witch hunters which seem to be affiliated with a church. This stems from the past when someone misused magic causing a bad war. Kudd saved the two travelling with him, but he seems to be in a bind as his severed tail was found by Sable and Holt. Roux has gone ahead already.

 

Episode 2 was good. So Kudd was treated like shit as a kid locked in a slave and basically tortured for amusement. Disgusting. Holt was a "demon child" as she had horns growing from her head. She was trained by the church to be a spy for them against the witches. They were able to get out of the sticky situation with Tyrant, mostly thanks to Roux, then her Staff.

 

Episode 3 was ok. Started out with Holt being extremely thankful they all trust her still. Thanks to Sable, Roux was able to heal Kudd's hands. They stayed at an in for the generic bath scene. Moving further along a new enemy appeared and the kids wondered off to the village of the child they saved. Trouble is brewing it seems.

 

Episode 4 was interesting. So the head master lead them to that trap intentionally? Seems nefarious. The town is also like a prison. Weird the witch that was on the side of the townsfolk left them without any resistance when the new witch arrived. Wonder who the witch of the village is? They're plotting to kill her anyway. Holt seems way too emotional considering she's known Sable for like literal days. The priest is actually working for the church same as Holt was and who Tyrant follows, as per Roux's suspicions. Holt has been taken by the priest and they're attempting to locate her. Roux and Sable went right into the trap, I really don't understand how Roux so easily was disabled and fell for the trap considering she's meant to be a 300 hear old witch... Anyway, they found the witch and after Kudd baled he ran into the beast fallen and is facing him now.
