This tbh. I recommend you to use http://nihongo.j-talk.com/ if you want to check out the meaning from a phrase built from kana and kanji, but still having 2-3 sources is recommended. And even this isn't enough. You'll still need feedback from an actual jap-english translator to clarify any errors while translating any work you're at.
