Most of the negative reviews talk about it being cliche and cite Naruto as a series it overborrowed from. It still has a 7.6 rating on MAL which is far higher that it probably deserves.

But the rating is good and it is heavily similar in premise to Naruto . There's always going to be people who dislike series.
