I really don't think they had a plan in the start, genuinely seems like it was a desperate move after the initial opening. Plus, I don't think they could've pre-planned it considering the game was made up on the spot.

Chapter 36 was good. Makes sense now why only 3 got the points, one of them died. Laser beam to the head. It re-confirms they got 30,000 points thought, and not 20,000. It also confirms the players got 10,000 points. The +20,000 was wrong, but the new balance of 29,000 was correct.

Their new plan is to go for items for the most part. Tatta was left as the goal keeper again. Things really aren't looking good for them. Usagi is basically their fastest player, and she was outmanoeuvred by the bearded guy with his parkour.

Kuina tried to get physical in a fight, only to get laid out.

Arisu was also outplayed. All of the residents had left, which had him losing a battle after some set up.

God damn, I really have no idea how they're meant to pull a win here. Looks like Niragi is going to die soon regardless.

Yeah, it almost seems stupid he's betting on basically "it'll work out" but at the same time they are out of options basically.

Chapter 37 was good. Opening points for the residents is 35000 and 23000 for the players.

Seems that Tatta is sitting out possibly. The rest are all in. Arisu has no plan, he's just going with "it'll work out" if they use the abilities they have they are good at. Usagi chose to participate, to lead the parkour guy away.

So it seems like Usagi is embracing her risk-taking side. I don't think she really "hungers for death" but it's the adrenaline of dangerous things she is getting high on. With this, she is putting her past behind her, I guess. Which previously she said to Arisu she wasn't ready.

She made some stupid ridiculous jump, which was impressive. Unfortunately for the parkour guy, he fell.

As I thought, she doesn't really crave death.

Side Story 4 part 1 was good. The game featured here is Kamayude. If the players escape before the stadium collapses, they complete the game. The whole in the stadium they somehow had it to explode and it seemed almost like magma was below, but may just be boiling water.

Akane Keiya the school girl got impaled in the explosion. She managed to get herself off the metal rod she was impaled on. She was the only survivor.

 

Side Story 4 part 2 was good. Damn, this is brutal, the heat is way too intense for her, and the exit is blocked by debris. She needed to drink water due to her injuries and the heat, but the only water she found was hot spring water so it wasn't really to drink.

She managed to find a ventilation shaft and so started climbing through it, but she's basically on death's door and very desperate for water. She even tried her own sweat. She's going through all of her regrets. I do wonder whose fault she is saying it is.

The toxic gas started to find its way up into the duct she's in too. The duct split, and she decided to go up, which led her to light, only for it to be an open end back over the crumbling area.

 

Side Story 4 part 3 was good. She couldn't return the way she came due to the gas. The area below wasn't boiling, but was steaming. With no choice left, she jumped in and could stand the heat, but due to the height she jumped in from, when she landed in the water, one leg hit debris at a bad angle which completely fucked her leg up, the bone snapped out sideways.

She managed to get herself out of the water, and made a makeshift splint. When she was crawling out, the splint got caught or her injured leg hit debris and so she's hurting more. ******* hell.

Seems that she had some bad self esteem issues, and in general a bad outlook. She thought she'd even sell herself to get what s he wanted and die before 30, which is a "woman's expiration date". It looks like that/her childhood trauma stems from her mother sleeping around when she was a kid, she didn't really even care she was doing it around her kid either. Fucked up.

When her mother and that man were going to a hot spring, the bus went off a cliff. She thought she deserved to die. With her last moments seemingly upon her, she left some messages with her friends, some being apologies like for skipping a concert or sleeping with one of their boyfriends once. She said her father worked too much so she grew up wrong and that she wish she wasn't born to her mother, she then gave her future self a pep talk and that she'd never forgive her if she fucked it up, after she spent a lot of effort surviving. She then pushed on.

As she continued on she reflected. She hated she blamed everything on her mother and giving up on the future. Deep down, she wanted to find a sweet guy to marry and have kids. She never smoked because it would be bad if she ever had kids.

As she kept crawling on, things started collapsing again, and she somehow didn't get crushed. Wow, she even I assume hallucinated her mother's spirit, and she got some closure there and the "spirit" helped her. With that, she managed to complete the game. She must have both the worst and best luck simultaneously.

God damn, skip to day 48 and Heiya I still alive. She has a really cool design. She ended up loosing her lower leg, that is expected. She has a prosthetic there. She is also rocking a bow and knife. Her attire looks almost like a hunter. 10/10 design honestly.

I think it wasn't conveyed overly well, but it seems like it all happened rather quickly. But yeah, stood around gawking for a bit seemingly lol.

I feel like no matter which way she went it would've basically ended the same.

I think the most impressive thing to me is that she would've had to amputate her own leg, and get her own prosthetic and has seemingly survived alone for that amount of time. That's a huge feat, considering the only other survivors we know all teamed up.

 

Yeah I think the best we saw was the dude taking morphine himself. Well there might've been a doctor at the beach, but I don't think we saw them do anything.
