You get used to it after a bit! The demo's trainign room and controls on screen should help a bit. People like GaijinHunter on youtube will do tutorials too. Next Beta is out the weekend after next so should try again.

yeah i felt like a complete newbie. Haven't felt that since i first played dark souls. I guess i'm just gonna have to train my muscle memory but it's pretty overwhelming at first so idk. The game is good i just wish i felt like i was doing damage to bosses. feels like they don't even flinch lol maybe they're too rigid?

It can be like that! Yeah, you come to just learn things. Depends where you aim. If you aim for weak points they will flinch more. I guess not really knowing in 100% detail is part of the aesthetic of it. It's like a surprise after a long ass battle of harder monsters, when it finally limps or you kill it, fells like more of an achievement than if you were to know where you sat always.

Far Cry 3 and I love it.

The villain, the setting, the guns, the story... AHHHH such a great game.

I guess I just have to play and learn the game more. I only played for like 2 hours last beta. I should probably experiment with weapons in training room until i find what suites me or like and just go with that and hone my skills with it. Maybe also try out the harder bosses just to get a good feel of how the game works.

Yeah, also try them on monsters. Some weapon you may be better with using it on some monsters but not others. It can be situational. For sure, if you just did the first quest.

or just use guns feels like they're easiest to play with in the game. If they just had some sort of story for monster hunter the game would've been much better. I just hope the game is successful because i heard capcom is taking a huge risk with this one.

There is 40-50 hours of story in this one.
Eh, I don't think the risk they are taking is as big as people think. It's been confined to portables for years. Was previously on nintendo for a good while but sony before that. If it somehow flops, they'd just go back to how it was previously, but I think it'll do fine.

That's so great lol i didn't think the game had much of story only monster hunts and such. I think it'll do fine too. The game is getting a lot of exposure and has received positive reception. I'll try the third beta play it longer and maybe if i really enjoy the game i might end up buying it.

There wasn't really ever much story. There was more focus on a story in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and there was also some in Monster Hunter Generations and Monster Hunter Double Cross. This seems to have the largest story ever, though, so should be neat. Yeah, it's received a lot! The beta is hardly a representation of the final game, just keep that in mind. Usually you have 50 minutes in hunts and only 3 carts, for example. There is also a main town where you take quests, an online hall/hub so it's a lot different than just a menu.

Check out the newest trailer if you like, has a bit more stuff:

Yeah, so much hype, especially even from veterans. The dragons fighting and the zombie dragon were lit. Ikr, I just couldn't resist waiting for PC version, knowing it's out in autumn I'm glad I plunged. Just 3 weeks and it's out, I'm so damn hype. XD
