Synopsis

En route to conquer a Great Labyrinth with his allies and former classmates, Hajime Nagumo is sidetracked by a tragedy that befalls his party member Shea Haulia. After encountering a group of rabbitmen caught in an ambush, Nagumo learns that members of Shea's Haulia Tribe have been abducted by soldiers of the Hoelscher Empire. To alleviate the anxiety of Shea, whose father may be in mortal danger, Nagumo decides to head toward the empire and rescue the missing Haulias.

After arriving at his destination, Hajime is caught up in political turmoil between the empire and the Heiligh Kingdom. As princess Liliana S. B. Heiligh tries to formalize an alliance with the empire to protect her weakened kingdom against demon attacks, the Haulia Tribe plans to assassinate Emperor Gahard D. Hoelscher to free all rabbitmen from the empire's threat. Determined to protect his allies at any cost, Hajime will need to ignore all political considerations and unleash his unstoppable power on anyone who may stand in his way.

Episode 1 was good. Started out with Yue writing a diary entry outlining her desire to get the labyrinths done as fast as possible so she and Hajime can pursue their dream. Yue was a bit flustered when Hajime asked her what she was doing.

Liliana the princess got told how Shea and her family were treated by imperial soldiers. She vowed to try and help locating her family that was taken. From the airship they witnessed some of the bunny people getting chased by imperial soldiers and Hajime indicates the situation is under control. Turns out, it's the ones Hajime trained so they were fine and took out the soldiers. They've all chosen some wacky alias and wanted Hajime to have one too. Hajime is joining them to try and find the people that have been taken captive.

 

Episode 2 was good. Walking through the town, Kouki wanted to help the enslaved beastmen, but was told not to. Shea's people are the current priority. Everyone was convinced that Hajime and Yue were going off to get freaky, but obviously they weren't and were gathering intel. Kouki proposed to try and be diplomatic to get them released, but that would only put himself and the princess in a bad position. Hajime gave power ranger-esque outfits to Kouki and the others as a distraction.

While Kouki, Grid, Suzu and Shizuku were providing a distraction, Hajime, Yue and Shea broke the others out of the prison. Shea's people are planning to go to war, because the kingdom declared they would enslave all beastmen. Hajime won't fight, but will assist them.

 

Episode 3 was good. Started out with Yue and Hajime getting freaking and the others coming upon them lol. Princess Liliana had talks with the emperor of the Hoelscher Empire, Gahard. He was trying to get details from her about Hajime and his group and also tried confirming his group was behind the masked warriors and the bunny people escaping. She was pretty cagey on details, and it seemed like Gahard didn't believe her. Liliana also agreed to an engagement with Gahard's son to secure their alliance.

Hajime and his group was going to meet with Gahard and Grid asked to take Shea, which was quickly shot down. When they met with Gahard after, Hajime was initially being well behaved, before Gahard told him to knock off the act. Hajime changed to his usual persona. During this, Hajime feigned ignorance to the attack as well. It was here, the banquet to commemorate the engagement between Liliana and Gahard's son would take place. Kouki wanted to oppose it, but Hajime indicated to not, so that Liliana wasn't put in a bad position and because of them being outsiders.

After Liliana was changed, the prince Baius entered the room and started to molest her. Then was clearly going to rape her. Kid of eye rolling how generic and cheap t his is, but none the less, Hajime put a stop to it.

 

Episode 4 was good. Started out with the rabbits wiping out the guards. Everyone was surprised/shocked when Liliana appeared in a black dress as if she was in mourning as opposed to her original attire. Hajime and Yue took the stage to dance. The other girls were trying to work out who would go next, only for Liliana to ask him to dance. Liliana did ask for his help, feeling she would just end up abused every day. Hajime indicated it would be fine by the end of the night.

The lights flicked off and the battle began. The prince, Baius was quickly beheaded. After key points where soldiers were kept being bombed, eventually the emperor agreed to the demands. With that, the battle was over.

 

Episode 5 was alright. On the way to the Verbergen the nation of the beastmen, Cam explained to Liliana their tribe is viewed as heretics and their execution was ordered, although this order was rescinded due to becoming affiliated with Hajime. Gahard asked Hajime for one of the plane things, and offered him women including his own daughter, or money, which was refused. Gahard also pointed out Liliana's crush on Hajime, and the poor girl got verbally beaten down by them.

Arriving in Verbergen, they were all very thankful that their people were saved. They even tried to give Cam an elder role, but it was refused. Cam made it clear that they only went to save the rabbitmen, and it was purely circumstantial that they saved the other beastmen. Cam went so far as to say they would become enemies if they were crossed or put in a bad position. Hajime also refused any reward, although relented on having a room to stay in while their.

At the end, Shea and Hajime had a nice moment at the tree where her mother was buried.

 

Episode 6 was ok. Started out with poor Liliana getting flung back through a portal and then attending a dinner. She ranted about Hajime, but obviously likes him. Things are getting kind of whack in the labyrinth. They get teleported inside, then Hajime seems to kill Yue, Tio and Ryuutarou, but it's revealed that they were fakes created in the Labyrinth, as Hajime said. Then a goblin appeared which Kouki tried to attack, but Hajime defended it as it was actually Yue. We got Hajime "living" a normal life then he broke out after finally remembering his promise to Yue. It was all a test by the labyrinth, which he passed. Having awoken, Hajime is in a room seemingly with the others in coffins.

 

Episode 7 was good. Yue was the first to wake up, which pleased Hajime. He heard about her dream where she was a queen and they already had 11 kids. Shea was the next to awaken, and coughed a few good times interrupting their moment, only to be ignored. Hajime was also pleased she got out. Even Tio, the third to awaken was praised by Hajime. Kaori was next to follow in awakening and then Shizuku. The boys woke up soon after.

Going out, the group encountered slime which acted like an aphrodisiac. Only really Hajime and Tio could resist it. After that ordeal, the group found themselves surrounded by cockroaches! The even formed a big one. Nasty. At the end, Hajime and Yue have flipped and seem to hate each other!

 

Episode 8 was good. So it turns out everyone's emotions have flipped. Love has turned to hate which is why Hajime and Yue seem to hate each other. Even still, while everyone was being verbally rude, they were working together taking out the bugs. After some time, the flipped emotions started to wear off and they finished killing the last of the bugs, passing the trails of this labyrinth. With that, they got rewards at the end, including a compass that shows the way to what they desire - even other worlds.

 

Episode 9 was alright. After getting the compass, the group was teleported out of the labyrinth. The group all make their way back to Verbergen. There, Altina the granddaughter of Ulfric greeted them. She basically waited on Hajime. Shea got annoyed with her doting on Hajime so she slapped her. This made Altina excited and she seemed to enjoy it lol. She's basically Teo 2.0. Hajime finally tells Shea she doesn't need to worry about "competition" because she's already special to him. He also indicates that Altina wasn't trying to get his attention, but hers. Seems that Altina wanted to be Shea's friend, to which Shea accepts. Although, Altina seems to have a warped view on friendship. Seems that while Yue has allowed Shea to pursue a relationship with Hajime, she doesn't currently allow the others to. Shea and Hajime also had a moment at the end. They're planning to tackle the final great labyrinth.

 

Episode 10 was ok. Hajime upgraded everyone's weapons, which is nice. They're in an snowy area now in search of the final labyrinth. Entering a cave there are some "bunny" monsters, and everyone things they're cute, but Hajime just kills them, because of them being threats. Ice monsters end up spawning in, and Kouki has his time to shine, along with Shizuka and the other two. They took out the larger monster that summoned the others, and a door appeared after that.

 

Episode 11 was alright. Walking through the ice labyrinth, Kouki starts hearing voices. Most of the group question him and think he's fatigued, but Hajime believes him and thinks it's something to do with the trail. It turns out to be correct. They slowly all end up hearing their own inner thoughts/insecurities. Seems they have to take them out as they're manifests, kind of.

 

Episode 12 was ok. Hajime's inverted inner self came out. Hajime's approach was to basically ignore the inner bad thoughts/trauma, etc and just "become stronger" and defeat it, which worked. Poor, Shizuka had it rough though and couldn't really come to terms with things. Right when she was about to be killed and when she cried for help, Hajime appeared to save her.

 

Episode 13 was ok. Hajime gave a healing item to Shizuka. She did a final face off with her copy and won. She decided to be more forward to Hajime about her feelings. Suzu was up next, fighting her copy. She actually figured it out fairly quickly and was able to defeat it. After the battle, she passed out and woke up to Ryuutarou carrying her. He also defeated his copy. Suzu and Ryuutarou then saw Tio deal with her copy too.

 

Episode 14 was ok. Yue was battling her copy and going over her uncle's betrayal and how she and Hajime won't be forever. It did make her question why her uncle didn't kill her and only sealed her. She was able to come out on top. Shea also fought her copy and made light work of it. When Yue and Shea met up, and Yue told Shea to take care of Hajime if something happened to her, it really got Shea worked up and caused a fight between them, with Shea wanting to help Yue with the feelings from her battle with her clone. Yue and Shea made up, with Shea having helped Yue. Kaori was also able to defeat her clone.
