Ashgate #1 - Game Thread

You turn off the flashlight to conserve battery. It would make no sense to use it now, since you have a source of light again. You look behind at the darkened corridor to see that the lights have turned on again. The lounge was mostly bare, so you decide to explore the next set of doors instead.

It's another set of dorm rooms, from what you can gather. A couple of the doors are open, and there are two more bloody numbers scrawled on the other doors.

What will you do now?

Un-equipped: Flashlight.

Take a load off in one of the chairs whilst considering the significance of these bloody numbers.

 

You go back to the lounge and sit down. The numbers bothered you. What exactly could they be for?

Eh, well. Maybe we'll find more clues if we keep searching. What's inside room 202?

 

You take a peek inside Room 202 and see that the general configuration is the same as Paul's room. What will you search first?

Anything on the desk?

 

Umbra breaks away from you as you approach the desk, and starts bouncing on the bed. There wasn't anything that you could see that was that useful.

Umbra looks like she's having fun... I will investigate the bounciness of the bed alongside Umbra!

 

So room 202 is like 104

Considering the numbers some of it makes sense, if we look at it mathematically.

In the first corridor it doubles the value of the last number: 102 = 4, 103 = 6
The second one we have only one lead which is 204 = 5 which could be +1 (or minur one if it's 2+0+4 -1)
So room 201 makes no sense since that should be room 104

I wanna look inside room 201

 

Edit: Since 104 - 4*2 = 8

You take a step backward until you're sure you are near the edge of the bed. With your eyes firmly closed, you fall backwards onto the bed. Umbra giggles. The bed seems a lot comfy then the one back in your room. Umbra strokes your hair and you do your very best not to take a peek at her.

Alright this may be very nice and comfy but back to the searching: I recall there were a couple sets of doors in the lounge area that we didn't explore. I want to go back and check there before moving further.

 

Before I go to bed, just gonna add my final thoughts on the numbers.

It could be a vital clue to unlock something later on. If we follow the numbers 201, 102, 103, 204
We get the combo: 8465

 

You take Umbra arms and wrap them around your shoulders again before sitting up and opening your eyes. You go back into the lobby and explore the doorways in the lounge that you didn't check out before - the ones leading onto the balcony. You look down on the garden below - the light was too dim to see anything of use. However, from this side - you could see another room jutting out from the side of the cube. There was an open window, and you could clearly hear the music blaring from inside it. Outside - there was a stairway that ran from the garden all the way up to its door. If you had any hope of getting into that room, you would need access to the garden first.

What will you do next?
