Ashgate #1 - Game Thread

The room was pretty clean. You wondered if that had to do with Umbra not being able to see this room until she was inside it. Maybe the other Unknowns couldn't see it either? You glance over to the last set of control on the far left wall.

I walk over to the controls, tying to figure out what they were for.

 

Well it's the only place we havent looked I think as I head over to take a closer look at the controls

 

You walk over to the last set of controls. There were various touchpads and buttons, but only one screen drew your attention. It read "Security Lockdown."

"Well, that button doesn't look happy..." I mumble to myself, scanning over the others and pressing some at random.

 

You press some of the buttons, but none of them seem to respond. You're out of options.

What will you do now?

"Well... Guess I can just un-press it if anything goes wrong..." Gingerly tapping the end of my finger against the security lockdown button, I wait for any motion on the screens or similar alerts.

 

A robotic voice come on over the intercom. "Lifting Security Lockdown." On the screen, you could see the previously dimmed lights start to warm up. You apologised out loud to The Creeping Darkness, who flitted out of sight on one camera, and hid under the room that you saw outside. You hoped this meant that you were able to use the key card readers now.

What will you do next?

"Hey uh... Umbles? I think I mighta pressed some buttons and opened some doors..." I called out, watching the screens brighten.

 

You felt a familiar warmth as Umbra pressed up against you. You smiled, and reached back to caress her hair. She pressed her face against the back of your neck in response. You desperately fought the urge to turn around and hold her close. Now wasn't the time. You glanced over at the monitors, just to check if there was anything you needed to be mindful of.
