durr you're such an asshole so I'll retort by being an asshole too
okay now you can shut the **** up please.
You are worse then stuck up ass yourself which you accuse people of when you bring people family in a ******* mafia game.
Any behavior which specifically moves the Town towards its goal of eliminating Scum or otherwise specifically furthers the Town's agenda.
And you're much stupider than I thought if you think it makes sense to Town read someone for doing something that you don't even consider pro-Town.
Well ya. That's what differentiates a read from certainty. Scummy behavior isn't only exhibited by Scum. There are a number of false positives, not the least of which is incompetence. I mean, we can see my clear understanding of this when I state that I believed you to be incompetent Town rather than malicious Scum despite numerous examples of scummy behavior on your part. I don't believe I've ever made the argument that only Town ever exhibit pro-Town behavior, nor that only Scum ever exhibit anti-Town behavior, so the fact that you not only put this sentiment into my mouth but then have the gall to imply that I wouldn't understand the difference is rather insulting.
It is a fairly convenient strawman, isn't it?
I mean, let's ignore that you don't seem to know that Scum can even lie, and recognize that I didn't say this. Scum can exhibit pro-Town behavior, but doing so is at the cost of pushing the Town agenda, which you may recall is the opposite of the Scum agenda. By forcing Scum to actively hurt their own wincon before handing out Town reads, we force Scum to have to make difficult decisions, which ultimately increases the odds of them slipping up.
I mean, it's in the ******* name. Pro-Town behavior is behavior which specifically aids or assists the Town. It's why I don't consider just asking questions to be inherently pro-Town. Scum can ask questions, and it doesn't really cost them anything. It's about the sort of questions asked and the intent behind those questions. "What do you think?" is a freebie; a way to appear to be contributing when you're not. That is the game, after all: Scum need to find a way to appear pro-Town without actually being pro-Town, and Town need to identify the players that aren't actually acting pro-Town.
I mean, this isn't hard, Quick. For a behavior to be alignment indicative, it has to be easier or more likely for someone of a particular alignment to perform than someone of another alignment. Behavior that is pro-Town is behavior which Town have no reason not to perform, but which Scum are harmed by and so have to consider carefully. If there's no cost for either alignment to exhibit the behavior, but you arbitrarily associate the behavior with Town, then Scum will abuse that.
Oh wow, Myers-Briggs? What did you hope to accomplish here? Are you trying to demonstrate how much you know about psychology, because name dropping a test that everyone's heard about but that most professionals give very little stock isn't exactly helping you here.
I've taken the test a few times before, and the I is probably the only thing consistent, which isn't surprising given that most people who play these sorts of forum games and take them seriously are going to be Introverted rather than Extroverted. The rest is a toss up. Sometimes I'm J, sometimes I'm P. Sometimes I'm T, sometimes I'm F. I'm probably N more often than S, but not always.
Moving the goalposts yet again.
You gave very clear reads, which you acted on. One of those reads was that Prada was Town, then Scum, then Town again. None of the reads was accompanied by anything remotely reasonable. The final read, that he was Town, was incorrect. Aside from Prada's brief stint as a Scum read, you also Scum read myself, Ningen, Nick, and Ratchet, all of whom were Town.
Normally, I wouldn't mind that much. We all make mistakes. We all misread people from time to time. But your reads are basically never backed up by anything, and when anyone questions them, you act like they're blind for not seeing what you see. That I take issue with. Reading someone wrong and going "man, I messed up" is one thing, but reading someone wrong and going "my method is flawless **** you for questioning me" is another entirely.
Gods, this post. Just, this post. Like, arrogant, thinks he's smarter than everyone else, I get those as insults. Frankly, I probably am both of those things (not saying I am smarter than everyone else, but I probably do tend to make that assumption anyway, to my own detriment).
But atheist? You're really going to just assume my religious values and use a particular religious view as a blanket insult? Really? Like, what kind of idiot does this shit? It's like trying to insult someone by associating them with a political party you disagree with. I feel like I'm in the comment section of a Youtube video.
Why? It has no bearing on the merit of the argument, one way or the other. To a much earlier discussion, this is a good example of an ad hominem attack.
I mean, best of luck with that, I guess.
I don't even get what insult this is supposed to be. Is this meant to assume my geographic or socio-economic status? Are you assuming my skin color? What stereotype are you even trying to insult me with here?
It stopped being Mafia when Rot called me stupid, the reason he is berating me. If I was stupid, do I really need someone like Rot rubbing it in my face? He started this shit. Now, I'm never engaging with him again.
Aww, did the mean old Rot question the poor Quick's competence? I'm sure that justifies hilariously immature insults. What a convenient out for having to participate in an uncomfortable discussion or having to face the reality of the necessity of self-betterment.
Stop talking to me please.
Ignore them :feelsbadman
Guys, there is no need to throw personal insults at each other. You should attack the argument, not the person. With that said, I wouldn't be locking the thread as I know most of you can be civil. You will all be notified when the MVP voting starts.
Family was Brought into this? :/
Shouldn't be a problem anymore.
Just hand that mvp over here
