Shinji was the same in the past. He never recovered since cutting his hair. I think the length of hair (or eyebrows/beard) may have some correlation.

Episode 7 was good. LMAO at Kenpachi and Hanataro taking a piss so missed the original gate and had to go in with Mayuri. Man, not good, Lille Barro just sniping the Shinigami and they were dropping like flies. Renji happened upon Uryu and they had a large fight. It seemed like Renji won, but in the end, Uryu did. I think the battlefield really helped Uryu pull the win. GG. LMAO and Grimmjow chasing down Askin only for him to keep barely getting away. Looks like Askin defeated him, now Ichigo arrived to help.

 

LMAO yeah.

I don't even remember that, but shame it was cut. ;_;

Episode 8 was good. Man, Kurotsuchi had many good moments, he's had a lot during TYBW. He and Kenpachi stumbled upon Pernida and Kenpachi rushed in to attack despite Mayuri's warnings, and thought he "took" the head, only to have his arm messed up. It then twisted even more and Kenpachi tore it off before it turned into mush, which was lucky as it saved his life. Kenpachi rushed in again, only for the similar thing to happen. Mayuri "backstabbed" him, but used paralysis to save him, before going in on the attack. It's finally revealed that Pernida is the Soul King's right arm! Mayuri seemed to have the upper hand. At some point he developed tech the simulate Hirenkyaku. so he didn't touch the ground filled with nerves. When Mayuri severed a finger, it turned into another arm, which is rough. When he got his arm infected with nerves, he just performed one handed surgery to reconstruct his arm. Crazy. Now he used his Bankai to birth a battle attuned version, which had 70,000 nerve layers on the outside, and it just ate Pernida.
