The fact that Ginjo, Tsukushima, and Giriko ended up in Soul Society and not hell means they were never truly evil.

Remember Shrieker, who was a serial killer when he was a human? As soon as Ichigo killed his Hollow self, the gates of Hell showed up and dragged him down.

That will never get old. Byakuya, the single most serious dude in all of Bleach, being used as a gag prop is hilarious.

There was Gantenbainne Mosqueda, who was a former Espada. There is also Picaro, another former Espada (they are from the novels).

However, the former is never heard of again (and I doubt highly that Kubo probably just forgot about him) while the latter were under strict protection from Harribel and prevented from fighting (for certain reasons). In fact, I believe Picaro was hidden away for their own protection, and freed six or so months after the end of the Quincy Blood War.

To be fair: Kyoraku is not a no-nonsense dude. He can be quite immature and silly at times.

However, he is no-nonsense when it comes to the nobles of Central 46 and other Seireitei nobility. He does not tolerate their shite. And I love that about him.

It is also why Kensei respects Kyoraku so much. He hates the Seireitei's nobles, but he has a high opinion of Kyoraku and also Ukitake (he is from a low ranking noble family).

Kyoraku is not really lazy. It is a front to fool people into letting their guard down.

I mean... He was literally Yama-jii's best student other than Ukitake.

Also... Toshiro won't be the next captain commander after Kyoraku. It was revealed who will be in the "Can't Fear Your Own World" novel.

And it hits harder knowing his backstory.

All except Nayura Amakado. Nayura-chan is a precious bean.

 

Ginjo does have a genuine bone to pick with Seireitei. Especially a certain strata. I won't say anything more for now.

I also think so. He will see himself as unworthy and ask that someone better (in his view) be picked. However, if he does accept it, I think he would be more than good enough at the job. Just needs a century more experience.

Kyoraku did say that Hitsugaya would surpass him in a century. And I have no doubts about that, especially given what we see with . . . that form.

 

Episode 10 got me all emotional for Unohana. She was responsible for suppressing Kenpachi's powers, her sin. She took it upon himself to unlock it, healing him after wounding him continuously, poetic. Her Bankai was a blood world damn. RIP my queen. Now this is how you write a strong female character.

Nimaiya is such a character Makes me crack up. He sent Ichigo and Renji in an unclaimed Zanpakuto pit to fight their way out, how are they gonna do it without their weapons, would be fun to see lol

Oh it's already over? And Ichigo failed? And he was thrown out to the human world? Brutal.

Episode 11 finally kicked off Isshin's flashback. He was captain of squad 10. I loled when he picked up Toshiro like a kid He went to check up the soul reaper deaths and found the black hollow whose name is white. Ofc it was all part of Aizen's plan Masaki was adopted by Ryu's family who didn't like soul reapers. Masaki saved Ishhin followed by Isshin saving Masaki. According to Tosen the arrancar transferred some powers into Masaki? So she now has Quincy + Hollow powers. Based. Wonder how their story unfolds.

 

Unohana's bankai does not create a blood world. It externalises the stomach of Minazuki. What you are seeing is not blood, but Minazuki's digestive acids. They lacerate and decay her enemies while acting as a catalyst for her own Kaido (healing Kido).

I take it you missed the part where his full birth name was shown?

Isshin Shiba

Isshin is Kukaku's and Ganju's uncle and the back of his head (well, a younger Captain Isshin's head) was shown back when Kukaku launched squad zero back to the royal palace (followed immediately by the Fullbringer trio who were killed in the human world).

Yup. Kaien, Kukaku, Ganju are Ichigo's, Karin's, Yuzu's cousins.
