Abby didn't kill Dina. Ellie DID kill Mel but asks Abby to not do what Ellie actually did just to not see Dina dead?

 

Oh I know, both have been extremely immoral but while for Ellie this was kind of a fall from grace and worked to a degree with Abby that's how we first come to know her so the impact is nonexistent since her first appearance she literally bashes an mc's head in. Problem is all the "good" characteristics are presented ad-hoc after the players have already been pissed off and come across as pretentious damage control. Not to say you can't like her but it's obviously an ineffective way to do this narrative which is evident by most people not liking it. (Even if we are to say that these people all missed the point or whatever that just goes to show that the game didn't do its job very well if only a minority supposedly connected with what it was trying to say.)

 

Well can't lie, I was mad as well when I played with Abby. If they switched the timings and timings on when you play a certain character maybe it would have been better.

 

Tbh my biggest concern isn't that you play as her (and have to punch the shit out of Ellie who everyone loves..) but whoever decided it would be 10 hours straight of just her needs to get cut

Well, it would make playing as a non-favored character for 10 hours more digestible if nothing else.

 

It shouldn't have been 10h to begin with. 5 would have been enough. I am not lying when I say that playing with Abby was so looong man. Bloody hell I couldn't see the end of it. It should have never been as long as Ellies playtime. Game should have had more playtime on Ellie. Not having nearly 50%-50% in playing ratio with these two characters.

Constantly switching characters in a campaign can actually be pulled off rather well. especially if you're not forced into playing one character for too long.
