The budget for the kyuubi vs pain fight was bigger than for the Hinata one as animation and production overall was top tier. The problem was the horrible creative decisions that even the cheapest of staff would have avoided but were done on purpose for some bizzare reason only to never repeat again (thankfully). I still have no clue what the dude was smoking cuz he clearly had both talent and resources to make the fight more reasonable.

 

Also in one of those IT fillers where there is like an alternate universe version of the shippuden story, you actually get the kyuubi vs pain fight like it was in the manga (as far as coreography goes) and you can see how cheap it is to avoid those errors and make that part look consistent.

 

IIRC the hammering and stuff was filler, maybe they didn't want to put more work into that
Or they were short on time and wanted to create something quickly and call it "art"

 

Actually the stakes here are as low as it gets. WB doesn't care about the cut besides to make a quick buck off of it and HBO picked it up to push their service. Snyder cut will be a cool testament to Snyder's vision and his fans but as far as the future of DC movies goes, it's as irrelevant as it gets since it's not canon and all the characters in it will be rebooted and their actors replaced. Part of the reason why they decided to allow it after pushing Snyder away is that they have nothing to lose as it already was a shitty film that came out 5 years ago.

For what it's worth Heard is a piece of shit but at least you could look at her ass or something unlike some other character from the MCU.

They all wanted to just be done with it and it was obvious Pretty sure they will do great in this cut

 

Most of the fight was either filler or changed from the manga as they fought on that weird body of water that came out of ******* nowhere. And no, they had the money that's why the animation was fluid, the effects perfect but the stuff that they used that eye candy for was atrocious.

 

Damn, I didn't know that since I started to read from War arc I think. Lmao, so they made that nightmare fuel shit voluntarily? Send them to the gallows

 

Yea lmao and then they went and put the manga version in one of the IT fillers lol

 

It's currently 75% on RT and 8.9 on imdb so it's not that bad as JL was

That fight was plain bad and I have seen other fluid animation in naruto only where you can criticize stills but the fight as a whole is almost perfect ie Sasuke vs Oro in Forest of death

to reiterate, its not 'feel good' in any way, but you won't feel dread after reading it, in fact you won't feel anything

Sure, I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the film unlike the old one. I liked BvS after all so Synder's grittiness and overindulgence doesn't bother me.

Nah, everything from effects to animation to background designs was flawless, it was only the tendency to draw awkward main keyframes (the main drawings of an animation which are the only things the lead animator draws and which the other animators use for a process of in-betweening ie drawing all the ones that go between the two key points of movement). Same thing happened with VotE1 with those weird Sasuke expressions when Naruto punches him in the gut.

Wakabayashi, the guy who directed all these fights is an expensive dude. In fact, he left Pierrot long before this episode and returned specifically for it because the studio wanted a top tier animator to do it. Also, his episodes typically take at least half a year to produce and sometimes even a full year. The reason for that is just how much work he puts into this kind of animation so it's not cheap in any way.

All the weird stuff was intentional because it was all the stuff that the lead animator had to pay his full attention to as it's his job to do that. The weird bits of the animation aren't just some in-betweens a newbie drew, but the awkwardness persists for the entire duration in every frame. No one could've missed this nor is it plausible that in such a huge time frame Wakabayashi took for the episode that he'd notice but just let it slide.
