Ok, first week of using the laptop and while it is too early to have any idea of how it's gonna perform long term I gotta say working on this thing is beautiful. Everything is going as good or better than I expected. Really hope things will stay good for the foreseeable future

I am apparently skipping 30 episodes of Detective Conan. In Japan 350 is the forgotten cell phone but in GER DUB (I'm watching) it's episode 380.

WHAT DO I DO OMG

 

I feel like I'm watching same episodes again and again and again and again...........

 

Tbh, DC will never end how it seems, I don't understand why "canon" episodes have mostly 0 to non actual story progression material. Most of the "canon" episodes feel filler in a way since it doesn't even touch the actual story. That's one of the things I don't like about DC.

In most cases, filler and canon episodes are literally without any difference. For the love of me I wouldn't be able to tell a difference between most filler and canon episodes since again, canon episodes don't even feel canon with the amount of story progression they make.

 

I could watch this everyday and I'll still get goosebumps, I swear Gon's transformation is the best shonen transformation ever, that was just pure hype. Absolute badasness.

 

Also I must say, Meruem's and Komugi's love story is the best story ever written in the history of manga, I've never seen a story such well written.

TV originals are fillers

 

Several games do indeed do this, including fps titles and even some RTS ones. They also include separate tutorial modes altogether.

That is how it should be done. I expect to learn gameplay by doing shit, not reading walls of text. I can only make exceptions for when the gameplay is ludicrously simple enough that one page of text is enough to learn the core gameplay.

Imagine facing a lumbering brute of an enemy that was known for being dumb, slow, and not-exactly-agile in all past games they've appeared; and suddenly they jump at you from across the battlefield like ******* Spiderman - and that too with a weapon that can one-shot kill in a decent AOE once it hits the ground near you (they don't even need to hit you directly).

Happy to learn that. Good for you.

I do have queries though:

1. How is the keypad? Funnily enough, HP's external wired keyboards are quite good from my experience, but I don't trust the build quality and longevity of their laptop keypads (also from personal experience).

2. How is the display? Any PWM?

3. Do you have dual channel RAM in there or single?

 

I don't think even Japanese fans care considering conan has high rating among TV audience no matter its original manga content or filler. Also Almsot all conan movies are blockbusters which are in a fillers the self.
