My suggestion from last time still stands, by the way. Consider downgrading from a Ryzen 9 to Ryzen 7 or from Ryzen 7 to Ryzen 5; also a downgrade from 1 TB SSD to 512 GB SSD. That way you could throw the money saved towards a storage upgrade down the line (extra NVMe SSD; and two storage devices is better than one) or better GPU (such as going from RTX 3050 to 3060 or 3060 Ti).

 

Yeah. That's the thing with smartphones and laptops these days. Forget yearly. A better model releases every six months. It didn't happen in 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic and chip shortage. But it seems to be happening again in 2022.

I have experience with this shit.

I was looking at Acer Aspire 7 with Ryzen 5 3550H and GTX 1650 Ti Mobile in late 2020 and early 2021. I kept postponing the purchase; it went out of stock everywhere and I was bummed. Then in April 2020 Acer released the Aspire 5 and Aspire 7 with a CPU that is nearly twice as powerful at half the power consumption and with extra cores, and the Aspire 7 had a GTX 1650M GDDR6 (which is only like 5% weaker than the 1650 Ti mobile). And it was available for only a bit more than the R5 3550H model.

Sometimes, postponing can be a good thing.

Looks like you'll just have to do what I did. Just wait for the latest model and grab it before it goes out of stock.

Or you could buy a slightly older one for cheap, if you want to save money.

 

Hmm... Haven't seen that in laptops except in certain cases.
