They have the formula down pat, for the most part. I have faith. My real concern is UE5 being used, but as long as they don't lean into the lumen/nanite/raytracing resource hogs, it should be fine.

Bloated projects cause bloated dev cycles. I think for Lies of P it wasn't too bad though, the DLC came out pretty quickly from when it was announced was it 2 years? That is while they were working on the sequel too. I am worried you won't be able to play with increased system requirements, but hopefully not. RAM prices are absolutely fucked right now. Terrible time.

 

Also had issues with starlink, do support get grok ai at first. Insists that you can replace discontinued gen 2 router and power starlink. (I was right you can't). Then it orders me another power cable LMAO. Anyway, I ended up replying to it again and this time after maybe 4 days a person finally gets back to me and they're sending a free gen 3 kit with new dishy and router. I mean I feel like they have to considering they discontinued gen 2 stuff and gen 3 isn't compatible.. but it's nice nonetheless.

 

I maintain the position gaming laptops are notoriously awful value, with bloated prices. I basically see them as a scam. But, I think your circumstances made sense for it with the travel for work a lot.

It might be fucked for many years too, so when you might feel the need to you might be fucked over.. hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

 

Bro LMAO. I mean, I paid upfront either 900 or 750 for hardware, and usually ISPs replace your shit if it breaks, and there is a very large amount of people that get the same thing.. so feel like it's the expected service. Nonetheless they could've said "**** you".

 

I figured that hence the LMAO. But also wanted to say it is the expected level of service from every ISP.

 

Eh, laptop spec is less of the PC performance for "same" specs, like laptop 4060 is worse than the desktop 4060 for example. But, laptop also uses a lot less power. It was also years ago you got it. Maybe not now with the terrible ram prices, and even not great GPU prices, but you could've gotten something a good amount better for that price.
