Bleach episode 400 was fukken good.

I also like how it was essentially Broly vs Frieza Round 2

Because the voice actors for the two characters fighting also voice Broly and Frieza.

 

Yeah.

I also like how they marked the 400th episode (which Kubo apparently was himself hyped for) by highlighting the very first bankai we ever saw.

The Gotei 13 should be thankful that motherfukker is not one of the villains. He's a bad dude, for sure, but he's not a villain out to destroy the world or become a ruler.

Kubo himself described Mayuri as anti-hero, villain, anti-villain all rolled into one creepy package.

As for him being a critical component: Yhwach was a fool to not include Mayuri in his special war powers list. Askin went up against Yoruichi (who is equal to post-Divison Zero training Byakuya per CFYOW), Grimmjow (whom Askin is weak against), two Division Zero members, two war powers (Urahara and Ichigo), and even he didn't want to fukk with Mayuri. He was just like "nope, I'm out!" when confronted by Mayuri.

Nah. It seems the full Pernida and Lille fights might be split into two parts each. So we won't get the Nemu and Nanao stuff till later. Next Saturday's episode is most likely just Lille vs Kyoraku, and might end with the latter's bankai reveal.

 

Mayuri, when finding out Urahara was on Yhwach's Special War Powers list, but he wasn't:

Fans are also very interested in the adaptation of the books "We Do Knot Always Love You" and "Can't Fear Your Own World". Both of those are confirmed to be pretty much canon (despite what the Bleach wikia says). And both were written from material that was meant to be in the main manga, but Kubo couldn't put them in due to time constraints and his failing health.

CFYOW has Hisagi as the protagonist, Tosen's backstory (finally), the reveal of who killed Tosen's friend, Aizen recruiting Tosen, the real reason Aizen killed Tosen in Fake Karakura; lore dumps regarding the Soul King, the original sin of the noble families, the real origin of Fullbringers; and a few major things that I will not spoil here unless you ask me.
