    I am not defending Nintendo for rumored specs since they as a company can definitely put out more recent specs but the proved they don't need it.

    Let's wait and see the reveal since it should be soonish and then debate.

    If the power is anything close to PS4 Pro as the rumors say, Switch will body.

    TLOU2 came out on PS4 and technically it's one of the best looking games ever, RDR2 as well iirc.

    Honestly, Nintendo would eat with these kind of specs for their games.

    I am not a PS5 hater but that console came out in 2020 and their best game is a 3D platformer...they have 0 good library even still, I'll skip this gen because it's ass.

    Smells like cope to me. It'll be weaker than the steam deck so won't reach ps4 pro. Maybe with upscaling and if it has enough ram/bandwidth it may technically be more capable. Specs probably won't be much of an issue for first party titles but more would be better for Nintendo to reach 60fps on something like Zelda. IIRC they're pretty hit and miss with how things run. Some stuff was 60 and some 30 and shit like Pokemon.

    Yeah ps5 is the no games station 5.

    True but I feel like that's mostly Pokemon which runs horrid, Zelda and Super Mario are just wonderful.

    Sorry I meant Pokemon as a "horrible" example and Zelda was sub-par in moments IRC. 30fps with some dips to mid 20s. Not great. Wasn't Mario 60fps?

    This is fair. However, there is still no excuse for Nintendo to be using outdated and underpowered hardware when unheard of companies churn out superior devices for cheaper. As I said: Nintendo, as massive as it is, can do better. The issue here is with Nintendo providing sub-par hardware for the price level. Either they should lower the price of the device or provide better hardware for the same price. But they won't do either.

    Oh, yeah, that is definitely on Pokemon. I have seen discussion after discussion on this. Definitely the game's fault.

    If the Switch can run the fukking Crysis remaster series (and those are some demanding and very good looking titles) then there is no excuse for the Pokemon games' piss poor performance.

    That's 100% the point. It'll be what 400 USD or more for completely outdated hardware? IT's absurd. They sell all hardware for a good profit as far as I know. If it was like $200 or $250 or whatever for that older hardware, sure, whatever.
