That's the problem with puppies; too much cuteness but also too much energy.

My post was in no way an endorsement of her kek lel. She's not exactly a gem either. Anyway, I hope 'Muricans learn their lessons from this asshole's term and put in power someone with the ethics of Sanders and spine of Samuel L Jackson next time.

Taking a crap on your childhood.

Though to be fair; it ticks all the right boxes for a power rangers work.

And it even had a cameo by Tommy Oliver hahaha

I liked some of the Power Rangers series. Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder were good and SPD was okay.

    @Errant Singularity
Yeah, these books were a fun ride and do answer a lot of questions. I also actually came to like Wendig's writing style (though it did take some getting used to and he's certainly no Luceno or Zahn).

The Eclipse; she should currently be Snoke's flagship. Wonder if we'll see her wreck shit in Last Jedi? Here's hoping. I would love to see her do something like what the Infinity did in Halo 4 and jump out of hyperspace to bisect a New Republic Mon Calamari star cruiser. That would be a truly wonderful sight.

Also, I looked again at the Base Delta Zero on Kashyyyk in Life Debt.
"Everything shakes and rumbles. Kashyyyk is caught in the throes of tectonic spasms"
So we have a fourth Disney canon novel with small island to island level heavy turbolaser feats (the other three being Tarkin, Twilight Company, and Thrawn).

Nobody will ever do Star Wars the justice Zahn does in my opinion, at least novel wise.

Aye I'd love a scene like that, almost like Vader's ISD tanking that transport heading into hyperspace but backwards, and way more intimidating as Mon Cal ships are tanky as hell. Even that city ship Raddish or whatever his name was in Rogue One took a hell of a beating for simply being an overgrown transport.

This is the problem with most movies nowadays.

Well if they aren't making money thatd put them at a loss, and if they make money for something they want to continue making money

Don't forget Luceno. He does the best job of keeping the continuity consistent and does just as good a job as Zahn when it comes to getting into a character's head and fleshing the character out. Plus Luceno really does have "prodigious knowledge" of Star Wars (as one reviewer put it) and knows what works and what won't. And like Zahn, he can take a character that's mostly crap and make them actually interesting.

Admiral Raddus, you mean? Profundity may have once been part of a cityscape but she is indeed a full fledged capital ship and absolutely not to taken lightly. Based on what I've read about her in the Rogue One visual dictionary, I have no doubt that she could take down a Venator and suffer only moderate damage. She's easily an equal to any ISD.

The focus should be on making quality sequels or not making them at all. The focus on money is ruining movies. Like there are franchises out there which had an awesome base movie, an excellent sequel and were then followed by sub par and horrendous sequels for cash. (Terminator and Alien franchises are good examples).

I guess they could be equals, though it's likely that Zahn does all my favourites that gives him the edge.

Aye Raddus, always remember him as Raddish. And... Really? Never had any idea that thing was so powerful, pretty impressed now actually. Too bad he wasn't in an angle to give Vader a fair match, would've been great to see some of his old tactics come through.

Truth but it's all a money grab easy fast money
When a sequal or a continuation to a series everyone who loved it is like "shuddup and take my money!" They know they can get easy cash from it

The MC75 (the Profundity belongs to this line) I would say has fire-power comparable to a Venator or Providence but outclasses them both in terms of hull armour (extra thicc) and deflector shielding (can take a sustained beating from capital ship grade medium turbolasers even with shields at 50% or less).

Raddus didn't stand a chance against Vader's Devastator at the end of Rogue one. His shields were down to a fraction of full strength, his hull had already taken a beating from the Intimidator, his crew were fatigued.

Guessing it's new to Disney, as I thought I knew every Mon Cal shipclass... Even those little converted luxury liners the MC40's, probably my favourite looking light cruiser ever.
