Was reading the new Canon Empire Strikes Back novelization. So we finally know how much X-wings and Star Destroyers weigh.

T-65 series X-wing = 10 tonnes (10,000 kilograms)
Imperial II-class Star Destroyer = 40 million tonnes (40 billion kilograms)

Do I think it was in the top 10 Marvel films for me personally? No

Yes, he is something.

It would be wrong to say that Erik was totally mislead. He did grow up in a shithole American suburb that was predominantly black and suffered from unfair law enforcement. He lived and experienced the darker African American lifestyle. I don't think Erik's current mentality should be blamed totally on his father's indoctrination. He's seen shit and that messed him up badly. He's less like a completely brainwashed religious zealot who has never bothered to think and question, but more like a former slave who wants revenge on everyone who has wronged his people in his eyes i.e. a racist and genocidal maniac forged from suffering he's seen and experienced first hand.

Wow, they're way lighter than I expected. I was thinking 25-30 tons for x-wings and almost twice that for imperial. Though I guess the Imps aren't fully armor needs some empty space.

 

The X-wings weigh about as much as I expected. There's no way they'd weigh more than the AT-DP, which is almost as tall as an X-wing is long, and which was confirmed to be 11.2 tonnes.

And yeah, I too expected ISDs to be far heavier. I've seen estimates on SD net that peg them at 200 to 400 million tonnes. But 40 million tonnes is still insane. That is the mass of a small mountain and a thousand times the mass of some of the largest warships in the US Navy. Venators weigh a fraction of an ISD and one Venator crashing from orbit destroyed a small mountain range.

 

Venators do have the advantage of the massive flight deck taking up a lot of space and lesser armor, they put a lot of faith in their shielding.

 

It terms of the fact that they left him there? He was totally mislead, he felt like he had been deliberately miskept from his homeright and it set him on a negative path, that would be mislead

 

Lovely ships, the Venators. So are the Acclamators. My only complaints with them are the exposed command towers. Should have integrated them into the hull superstructure as did the Resurgent-class. And a couple of extra dual medium turbolaser turrets wouldn't hurt.

By the way, I think someone from TCW is going to make a major appearance in the current arc of the Canon Star Wars comics. Remember Lee-Char? And we're likely to get some badassery from Akbar and an old friend of his.

The decision to leave him there was also a factor, yes. Messed him up royally.

 

I would probably call it the catalyst, if they had taken him his life would have been different
