Nothing you said here is a big deal. None of it makes you worthless or a bad person. Maybe you feel that way about yourself, but that feeling has nothing to do with reality. First of all, to be worthless you have to hold no value what so ever. It is an extremely bold claim to make. I'm not sure what standard of value you're measuring yourself by, but value has a subjective aspect to it in that it is in the eyes of the person you're talking to. For example, there are at least 3 people just on this forum who consider you to be valuable enough for them to repeatedly devote their free time and energy to talking to you and trying to help you out @upsurge @Tsunbear @Faint

I don't know your family or friends, but I'm sure that the fact they support you (even the act of pressuring you into getting a job is an act of care on their part) means that they consider you to have value. Hell, even an jerk like me felt that you were worth me going back on my semi-joking "kys" reply and giving you real advice knowing that you may not give a shit about what I have to say, but hey, I too found it worth talking to you. That you have this kind of value is undeniable.

Perhaps you think there is some kind of objective standard of value that you don't meet? What would that be? Having a job? Having a girlfriend? Look, none of those are at all objective. They're just a set of values that your community happens to hold and which they are forcing onto you. You can accept those values if you think they work for you or you can reject them and form your own. They're not a holy book to follow. Besides, even if they were holy and unquestionable the fact that you're trying to do something about it (applying for jobs for example) and are reflecting on your failures and misgivings is worth something and means that you at least aspire towards something. You'll get there eventually if you keep working hard. Statistically, it's near impossible that you'll be jobless for the rest of your life.

Add to this the fact that you're (as far as I know) a healthy young adult living in a first world society with his whole life ahead of him. You weren't nerfed from the start by some hard condition like autism which would actually cause you problems. Your life story has barely even started and to say right away what you'll amount to is wholly unjustified. If you were a 50 year old with no job, friends or family and absolutely no hope and perspective, then you'd have a reason to be depressed. As things stand now, your depression is just an irrational feeling, not something that reflects reality.

I could explore this issue from a more philosophical/religious perspective and explain why you're worth far more than you think, but even this is enough to dismiss the notion of worthlessness that you have imposed on yourself. Again, you may feel like you're worthless, but that's all that is - a feeling. It has nothing to do with reality.
