also there was a backlash that starfire being portrayed by Black actress in Titans and someone with Indian origin playing Princess Jasmine in Alladdin not some Arab

These only shows what dumbass majority of fanbase is since Starfire is a Orange colored Alien and first line of Alladdin reads that he was a little boy from China

What I find especially hilarious about The Last Airbender's white-washing is that it was made by a jackass of Indian descent. Why the F@ck are Indians so obsessed with white skin?

Yeah, the Starfire and Jasmine backlashes are pretty stupid. The former isn't even an Earthling, the latter makes sense since an Indian girl can easily pass off as Arab.

At the end of the day, if the actress playing Starfire does a good job with the role, then it's okay. And if she does a bad job with the role, then only her acting skills should be called into question and not her race.

Of course, people are still going to find a way to bitch about that no matter what.
