Have you not heard about the NHS cuts and the attempt at privatisation? It's ridiculous. Also there was something (going off memory here) about NHS potentially having to put in more hours then they already do, due to new working hour regulations, making it potentially unsafe for medical staff to treat patients.

dammit I have not kept myself up to date with that. They gave me a book and info to know how NHS works and all but I didn't know about that. I was recently accepted into a vacancy and I am moving from Portugal so I am still not entirely familiar with what's going on in the UK in terms of health system.

 

You should still give it a go - there are tons of different positions in the NHS that can be very rewarding. However, you really should read up on some of the stuff that is going on so you are fully prepared.
