L and Shinigami contact the ones they think are Town, they will get a majority on lynching Kira.

However if L tragets Shinigami, the plan will fail.

Actually it's 50% chance to obtain a kira or a kira member. If we don't lynch people then the one that will be killing is kira.

Another point is that if L or Shinigami indeed find who kira is, they will start saying or inferring who kira is and the officers will be like ''what if you're a kira team? hmm suspicious, vote this guy off''.

 

But even if L targets Shinigami, there will still be a Partial majority. :angel

 

And Kira will be focusing on those when they start dropping ''info'' about kira members or kira himself.

No, they can contact the one they trust and tell them their reads. What matters is finding out Who Is Town, Not who is Mafia, cause Town is in Majority and chances of finding a Town Player are higher.
