Episode 7 was great. So the elves are dwindling and nearly exitnct. They don't have romantic or reporductive urges which has worked against them. Even Frieren thinks she may be the last or amongst the last of the elves. Fern, Stark and Frieren made it to the next town and there are demons in sight. Frieren goes to attack them but is detained and jailed. The demons are there for a peace treaty and Frieren claims they are all just liar manipulators and the town will regret it. We get some backstory of the heroes party in another town in the past where a little girl demon killed a village child and ate her. Most were calling for her death, but Himmel and the village chief insisted on trying to make her live there peacefully. As per Frieren's words, they did regret it when the village chief was killed by her. She was slain. Demons are abandoned by their parents and are solitary creatures that lie and trick to benefit themselves. This has proved true for the current demons "seeking peace" they just want to have the village drop the defensive barriers and wipe it out.

Episode 7.

Oh no Frieren might be the last elf!!

What a fitting name for a demon, Lugner (liar in english) because they LIE LMAO

Episode 8 was great. I didn't expect this to play out this way so quickly. Draht went to assassinate Frieren and it backfired. She completely destroyed him with no effort even in her position, crazy. Frieren fled due to Draht killing a guard while she was there. Granat confronted Linie and Lügner again after he realized that Draht was missing. His guard was killed without effort and he taken hostage to try and get info about how to control the barrier. Fern and Stark ran into Frieren as she was fleeing the village and they are determined to help the villagers. Stark was freeing Granat and was caught, then after distracting the demons, Fern used magic and got a good hit in. They fled soon after so things are still escalating. Also, "Frieren the slayer, she's sent more demons to the grave than anyone else." Damn.

Episode 8.

An amazing episode, not only Frieren bodied that kiddo, she bodied literally...so many demons! Frieren the Slayer, SO EPIC!!

Stark and Fern tag was great, so proud of our mother Fern!

I also love how Frieren was the one pushing for Zoltraak counters!

Episode 9 was great. Frieren is facing down Aura right now. Apparently Aura uses scales and where she has the larger mana reserves, she wins getting control which is why it's believe no one really stands a chance. I'm betting Frieren is the exception here. She did loose to Frieren before, or fled. Fern figured out the blood was being used to track her and Stark, but it was too little too late. She and Stark put up a good fight and were both able to prevail. Now we should move onto Frieren's battle.

Episode 9.

WHAT A GREAT EPISODE!!

Fern stone cold going towards Lugner absolutely removing any attack he does, I love Fern!! She's so gooooood!!!

Glad Stark won as well, a decent move to bait the attacker.

Also I'm having such a feast with the german words, Lugner uses blood attacks and his attack is also a word play! Blut is blood in german, so far all of them had some logic behind! Love it!

Episode 10 was amazing, god damn. So the way that Fern was able to defeat Lügner as she suppresses her mana. This is the tactic that Frieren has used for over 1000 years, passed down to her from her own teacher, Flamme. Flamme stumbled upon Frieren whose whole village was killed by demons. Frieren had barely defeated the demon general, which was impressive for how young she seemed. But Flamme was another level. Now it seems like Frieren is likely even beyond her. Frieren had taken out a lot of Aura's forces, then Aura used that scale to defeat Frieren banking that her mana was superior to Frieren's. She's been overconfident and didn't expect Frieren to have such tremendous mana having been suppressed and controlled for so long. Frieren's mana won, then she ordered Aura to kill herself. Brutal. Gave me chills. So demons are extremely prideful when it comes to magic and won't suppress it. Their hierarchy is entirely based on it, which is why they won't suppress it for long, so this method is the perfect counter. Although, it's seen as trickery and cowardly.

Episode 10.

I am so stupid, Frieren for Fern is like Flamme was for Frieren, can't believe I missed that parallel, she decieved them by supressing mana, sounds so simple yet so effective.

OMG FRIEREN RELAX, YOU CAN'T SAY KILL YOURSELF NOWADAYS, ARE YOU CRAZY GIRL!!!

And I thought Fern was stone cold, Frieren's name is literally COLDNESS itself, it makes sense, SHE IS THE COLD!!! SHE IS HER!!!

Episode 11 was great. With the defeat of Aura, Frieren was pardoned, naturally. She also got the magic she was seeking, knowing it was fake. It turns out that Frieren hasn't kept up with the paperwork of this day and age. She doesn't have the paper to show her mage class. Fern is a "third class" mage. 50 years is too quickly for change for Frieren. Instead, she has an "antique" to show her status. I wonder if this will ever be corrected lol. The group trail through the snowy mountains and found a house to stay in. Stark was in danger, as were they all of freezing to death. The house was already occupied and by another elf!! Kraft seems even older than Frieren and is a monk. They all waited out the winter there and then moved on. Kraft is firm that they'll meet again.

You really forget how overpowered Frieren is. Honestly, this show is an overpowered character done right. She doesn't at all feel like a Marysue or anything like that and she still has her own flaws. Yeah Stark and Fern make a good duo.

It was great to see how Fern progressed. Stark holds his own as well, especially when it feels like most people's fighting revolves around typical spell casting.

Yeah, she is in a lot of ways. I think she see's herself being able to help someone become as great or better than her own mentor Flamme.

Honestly, I needed a little change from shonens and movies.

This is so chill and very easy to watch. I think the character personalities help massively here, I don't have characters screaming in my ear and the dynamic between characters just flows!

Fern is my absolute favorite!

Yeah it's a really nice change of pace. Plus it was kind of episodic in the start.

It has everything to work as well, no stupid fanservice scenes and the episodes are really, just chill. Like they are having silly quests like finding flowers and stuff and at times have badass moments like last few episodes, it's a great mix.

It's really an adventure and I love it!
