Episode 12 was great. Frieren, Stark and Fern trek through the snowy mountain and Frieren collapses. Seems like she is really not good at dealign with col. Fern was just disgusted at teh thought of giving Frieren to Stark to carry, so did it herself. Damn, I love this take of Himmel being a hero. So as a child Himmel was given a fake hero sword and would also be picked on as a fake hero, by Heiter. He wanted to become the hero. Even though he wasn't able to pull the real hero's sword, he truly is a hero. I feel like Stark will be the true hero. Maybe not though. It's his birthday and Frieren was looking forward to giving him the perfect gift... a potion to destroy clothing. Fern was unamused. Stark also had it pretty rough growing up, being the outcast of his village/family. Although his brother cared about him alot and when their town was attacked, he told Stark to flee. Despite being the strongest in the village, his brother was very kind. Frieren also cooked up a nice big Hamburg steak to celebrate.

Stark had it tough I'd love for him if he pulled that sword.

Episode 13 was good. Frieren saved a guy, although she seemed reluctant. Fern scolded her as a result. Turns out he's a priest, and he missed his time to go out. The trio set out to go forward to the next major town, only for Stark to get bitten by a snake, despite the warning. With no choice, they went back to the minor village. The town priest said Stark was likely to die due to the poison and it was too late the treat. His brain would leak out of his nose. Turns out the priest is Sein's brother and Sein healed him without issue. Sein is a lot like Heiter. He loves women, to drink and gambling. I lost it at Frieren trying to play the seductive older woman to get Sein to join them. In the end, he was convinced to join them and they set out.

Episode 14 was good. Man, Fern can be a real bitch at times. Comes with her growing up I suppose. Poor Stark had it cut out for him. After leaving the town and carrying forward, the cart they were in was attacked by a monster and Frieren lost her ring. After some repairs to the cart, the merchant gave Frieren a spell to help locate the ring. The bracelet that Stark picked for Fern has a mirrored lotus design. It means eternal love. The ring that Frieren picked out and that Himmel purchased for her had a similar design and the way he put it on for her was something else. Seems like he was in love with her.

Episode 15 was great. Continuing on the journey, the group stumbled upon a village suffering from a curse. It caused people to fall asleep basically. From the group, Stark was the first out, followed by Fern and then Frieren. After attempting to beat the monster alone, Sein ended up waking Frieren, and as she said, she killed the monster fast as. Lord Orden was the leader of the next town and he scoped out Stark and requested aid. His son died and Stark bares a striking resembles. It turns out their family migrated from Stark's village. Stark played his deceased son, which was rough. Fern also got roped into things.

Mut is a great name for the heir, a king named Courage, great choice!

Sad story though, parting in anger will always be sad and regretting

Episode 16 was good. Venturing to the next village, Frieren was able to meet up with a really old friend, another Dwarf! He's been protecting the village for centuries as a promise to his late wife who was a human. How noble. Sein's friend had been through the area, so the group has been helping out the old lady to get info. There most recent task was cleaning up a statue of two heroes most had forgotten about, one of which is Kraft! How interesting.

Episode 17 was good and a bit unexpected!! So Sein's friend, Warrior Gorilla was seen the opposite way from their path. Holding up in a town for a little while, Stark and Fern get into another little fight, which is mostly due to Fern lol. Sein was able to settle things. Sein also came to the decision to split from the group to seek his friend, which was surprising. Shortly after, Fern fell ill and Frieren and Stark cared for her along with an old lady, while they gathered ingredients for medicine. Fern is a little embarrassed with Frieren's reminiscing of her being a child lol. Although, people are always like that to her. Looks like Frieren picked up the hand holding gesture for comfort from Himmel. Fern has now recovered and the trio have departed.

Episode 17.

Oh wow, Sein already left, I didn't expect him to leave so soon

This is where my first potential problem with the series might happen.

I absolutely hate when a mangaka introduces a potential romance between characters and then ignores it. I am saying this because there's obviously something romantical between Fern and Stark and I'd hate it if it doesn't get resolved. They don't need to end up together but please resolve it.

Either way, I am shipping them! :DDD

Fern isn't sick anymore, life's good, we move!

Episode 18 was great! Things are getting interesting. Freiren and Fern are going for their 1st rank mage test. Due to Frieren lacking any sort of modern rank she went to leave. Luckily and old guy recognized her holy emblem. We also were introduced to Übel, who is an interesting girl. She seems like a really strong mage. She has no trouble killing people too. At least bandits. She had an encounter with Kraft. For the first test, the participants were sorted into groups of three with the task of catching a bird within a certain time while having all the teammates still around, and without leaving the area too. Frieren has been paired up with two girls that know each other, seem to care about each other, but also apparently hate each other. Frenemies? Kanne and Lawine are an interesting duo. Fern got paired up with Übel and a guy.

With the way this mangaka names characters, Übel is million percent a villain. Übel means bad/evil.

Episode 19 was great. Team Frieren came up with the plan to "poison" majority of the water holes with magic due to the birds beign so sensitive to it. It would force one to come to the "clean" watering hole they waited at. Sure enough, Freiren was able to capture a bird. This plan however has drawn the ire of the other teams due to it severely impacting their chances. Denken, Laufen and Richter are about to engage Freiren's team in combat. On the other hand, team Fern has already caught their bird. Übel wants to just fight and kill people now. Team Fern has been engaged by Ehre, Wirbel and Scharf.
