Bdsm in general scares me. It's something that I cannot comprehend.

 

It can be scary and on some level that's part of the point, but whoever the other participant is you need to trust that person in order for it to be a safe activity so that's part of the beauty of it. Bdsm, ddlg, anything involving submission/snm has one of the most extreme and deep bonds around

But yeah if you click on one of those sites you can be overwhelmed and some of it is super extreme, particulary on the home pages

 

I can't do it mostly because on a subconscious level any kind of restraint is met with EXTREME violence. I become very...beastly. That's why I'm scared. It doesn't initiate any sexual arousal, only a fire which can scare even myself.

 

Well that's ok like one person doesnt have to be into everything, bdsm as a culture/kink/lifestyle isn't for everybody and many people are disgusted and turned off by the idea
But I will say this, in terms of like past trauma, or lashing out or whatever bdsm can be very very healthy for no matter if you're the sub or the dom. And dont worry like even subs and doms get scared at it all too, let alone people who dont participate in bdsm bwahahaha.

 

It's scary for two reasons one is I don't become my usual self. I take it as a challenge. And for me, I become destructive and like I said my fire doesn't stop until I die. I have said that before. I won't stop until I die. That's just how it is. The other thing would be that I would be put in a depressive manner of state no pleasure at all. And I understand where your coming from don't get that wrong at all. I can see where it can help people get past traumas and such. But for me, it's not a trauma, it's a state of mind, I Despise being held down. And I don't get sadistic until I'm somewhat angry, so I just can't see myself doing BDSM with someone else, plus I don't see myself with anyone in general so...

 

Well I mean you're looking from a direct submissive point of view
State of mind is similar I guess, I mean the concept of bdsm is based around pleasure yes, but there are many that just do it to release, progress or destress
While a dominant can be sadistic they don't have to necessarily be sadistic dominance doesn't auto equal sadism bananana
But it's something that sparks your curiosity, or you've looked at the basis or heard about yes? You seem like someone who has thought this out, like i wouldn't close that door for you forever, i think you have a few misconceptions bananana

No I understand. I just try putting myself in a dom situation and I don't like it. I put myself in the other place and again I don't like it. I do do some research in things that I don't like, otherwise I would sound stupid as to why I don't like them. The biggest reason I hate BDSM is because it requires someone to be dominated, that I don't like. I don't want someone looking to dominated or be dominating. I'm looking for someone who is, an equal.

 

Not neccessarily, i mean sure you have the B D S M part but there's a whole other layer of power exchange ect which isn't necessarily domination. What bdsm requires as a fundamental is two parties willing to let go and escape from the current world, if anything it's more about control then domination
Control and domination are different things as a whole
Control is basically the cake batter, and domination is the icing

Control requires submission. You do realize that right? Control is not something that can be handled. I know you have different definitions but in a way you just said, both parties need to submit. There is nothing in this world where one thing can't control something without some form of submission.
