Ironic to call succumbing to your primordial impulses freedom. At most you're exploring your desires and satisfying them. I wouldn't call that freedom, I'd just call it a slave becoming comfortable in his shackles.

Being free is being able (and willing) to change those desires and live a perfectly fulfilling life without them. I'm not sure if such freedom is possible though, but that's what I take it to be.
