1. Gouki did not object the engagement between Miyuki and Tatsuya not only because of his son.
As a member of 10MC, he thinks, Yotsuba wouldn't risk of losing magic talent through incestrous marriage for the future generation. Based on my personal interpretation on Gouki's character, even if Masaki does not love Miyuki, he probably object the marriage. However, after witnessing his son's love for Miyuki, Gouki has two object, now.

2. Saegusa Koichi has been doing background checks on Miyuki and Tatsuya. He knew about Miyuki's ability through 9SC and Yokohama incident. He also knew about Cocytus; even though he does not know magic's property(its range and size of impact) and name, his researcher concluded that Cocytus is instant killing magic that has similar effect as Meteor Stream on anti personal level.

Regarding Tatsuya, Koichi found out, Tatsuya's decomposition, regrowth, and counter magic (gram demolition & gram dispersion). And, he got a report that there is a high probability that Tatsuya was a S-class magician that caused Scorched Halloween. He also know Tatsuya is close to 101 battalion that adopted flying magic at the battle field for the first time. However, Koichi has no clue about Tatsuya being Silver. Koichi already suspected, Miyuki is a daughter of Miya even though he had no evidence. Only thing, he did not know, was about Tatsuya being Maya's son.

Koichi worried about Tatsuya and Miyuki being in Yotsuba, but he had a confidence that one of them will leave Yotsuba, and he assumed, Tatsuya would be the one who will leave Yotsuba. Koichi assumes, even if Tatsuya leaves Yotsuba, Tatsuya may sustain his connection with Yotsuba, but Koichi has a confidence that he can make Tatsuya to understand the importance of domestic power balance, however he was not thinking of the method. But, Koichi got outflanked by Maya. The engagement is not something that other 10MC can interfere, so he was regretting not interfering it before it happens. But, Gouki's objection opens up a new possibility.

Overall, the conversation between Koichi and three daughters is similar to previous spoilers, but there was some misinterpretations, so I will point out few;
a. Koichi knows about his daughters especially about how Izumi gets seriously obsessed with Miyuki.("obsessed" may be a little strong, but I cannot think of a word that is a little weaker than obsession that fits in the sentence.)
b. When Koichi asks Mayumi about Tatsuya, Koichi catches Mayumi's cheek turning red.
c. Kazumi simplys says, she does not know Tatsuya much, and she only knows that he is talented in magic engineering.
d. Izumi's reaction and choice of words are very interesting. When she talks about Tatsuya, she uses very respectful words to describe him. It is similar to Hayama when he talks about Tatsuya to Mitsugu or Maya. Kasumi got shocked, and Mayumi opened her eye widely and turned to Izumi after they heard Izumi's words. Izumi talks about "stellar furnace", edited version of Phonon Maser and Invisible Bullet. But, she says, Tatsuya is somebody that she cannot comprehend because she feels like Tatsuya is looking at matters different from others. However, she cannot confirm whether he has a unique eye similar to Mayumi. Finally, Izumi says, Tatsuya is not somebody that she can handle. However, she loses herself and says, "If I have an ability to coquet / flirt with Tatsuya...... How can I let a man have Miyuki Senpai?" Even Koichi got concerned over Izumi.
e. Mayumi's reaction is the same as the previous spoiler. Izumi objected because Masaki is a guy, so Tatsuya may not get mad, but if Mayumi proposed to Tatsuya, she assumes, Miyuki may get mad. And, Mayumi also claims about public's view on this matter because approaching recently engaged man may make Mayumi as a target for a bad rumor.
3. Overall, spoilers are correct. If I may, I will add few more details;
a. Gouki is seven years younger than Koichi, but they are communicating as an equal because they are both leaders of clans under 10MC.
b. Inside of Gouki's mind, he was wondering why Koichi is helping him, but it was answered when Koichi states his intention to engage Mayumi and Tatsuya.
c. Gouki sees highly of Tatsuya because of Tatsuya's victory against his son. So, he strongly believes, incestrous marriage may risk of losing both Tatsuya and Miyuki's talents for the next generation. However, the chapter does not mention about the cooperation between Tatsuya and Masaki in Kyoto. So, he may not know Tatsuya being a part of the military.
d. Gouki managed to gain supports from Koichi, but he did not hand over the leading role to Koichi because he does not know what Koichi is upto.

“Just to clear some things I've read from spoilers:

-Honoka has already decided her move after the first talk with Shizuku, not later.
-Takumi Shippou isn't in love with Honoka.
-Minami is getting a lot of questions from classmates. Also, she no longer call the siblings by Nii-sama nor Nee-sama but with their names+"sama"
-Erika confronts Mikihiko only, but this is not out of rage. She understands what they are going through since she herself experimented it last year. Leo talks about what he thinks, but is Erika the one doing the job here.
-She makes Mizuki say she is going to put effort too, she didn't confront her like how she did with Mikihiko.
-There is not mention of Tatsuya making his Silver status known, nor the intention of doing so. The intention to approach the Association is true though.
-Fujibayashi talks like 2 lines about her fiancé. Is Tatsuya the one who thinks about the story and tells us how he was KIA.
There is more explanation of the current Defense Force structure.
-The ones promoted are: Saeki, Kazama, Fujibayashi, Sanada and Yanagi.

Also, Shizuku wasn't the one who stopped Shippou's confession. In fact, it wasn't even one but he had to stop what he was saying because Igarashi was back. She was there for Honoka though. Later talking about this, she made Honoka realize she has been showing a pitiful face.



To state why : Takumi Shippou isn't in love with Honoka,

The whole part includes a description of Takumi. It says how he has changed after Tomitsuka's fight and being consoled by Kazumi, after 9SC and all that, he has started to change making not only his peers acknowledge him but also his seniors. So no more douche-bag. Honoka also things that now she doesn't feel anything bad for him. That's how much he has changed from the impulsive Shippou we got to see before.

Honoka became more of an admiration figure for him, being the one who even in that circumstances lent him a hand. It's not that what he feels is in the level of love (literally written like that). After seeing her that depressed something in him made him react like that. He was worried about her, that's why he says she should give up on Tatsuya before it hurts her more.
Later, Shizuku talks about how Honoka has been showing a pitiful face, making her realize other people saw that and understanding why Takumi reacted like that.

I'm not saying he won't love her though, but that part is just someone that is grateful and had Honoka's image helping him to change along with the past experiences. Honoka misunderstood that thinking he was going to confess too, but in fact his feelings are not like that for now.

• Yakumo got visitor from mysterious old man(Probably foreshadowing for the next volume?)
• The following day they went to greet the Magic Battalion. All 101 members got promoted together. Fujibayashi is a lieutenant, Sanada and Yanagi are majors, Kazama is a lieutenant colonel and Saeki also got promoted but Tatsuya still a Special Lieutenant.
• Tatsuya will continue with the Magic Battalion as the army and the Yotsuba are in agreement.
• There is a scene where Kazama, Kyouko, and Tatsuya are talking about their monthly income. Based on the conversation, even though they got promoted, their income hasn't changed a lot, and it seems like Tatsuya makes a lot more money than regular soldiers because of magic engineer job. According to Mahouka BD vol.2, Tatsuya's monthly salary is 5 million Yen. (60 million Yen per year).
• Kyouko used to have a fiance, but he died. Seems like, she still cannot forget her dead fiance.

• In Shizuku's house, Honoka hears Tatsuya and Miyuki engagement news from Shizuku, Honoka cries. (Refer 4th Illustration)
• Shizuku asks Honoka if she will give up? Maintain her existing relationship? Become his lover?
• Honoka doesn't answer.

• School starts, summoned by the principal and is scolded.
• Erika and Leo are the same as usual. Tatsuya is in the classroom and everyone's attention is on him.
• Mizuki is nervous/anxious?
• Lunchtime, Tatsuya and Miyuki eat alone. (Refer 3rd illustration)

• After coming home from school, Miyuki and Tatsuya got phone call from Maya.

• Maya says that the marriage proposal has arrived, Miyuki immediately declines.
• Masaki didn't get rejected in person.
• Miyuki rejected the proposal to Maya and Maya informed Gouki about it but said she is fine with Masaki courting her regardless because Miyuki might change her mind later.
• But Miyuki and Tatsuya remain engaged.

• On the way to school of the second day, everyone's attitude towards them hasn't changed

• Mayumi, consulting Mari. Mayumi tell her Kouichi is stubbornly encouraging her marriage to Tatsuya. Mari, tells Mayumi herself that she likes Tatsuya.
• Mari suggested for Mayumi to have Tatsuya cheat on Miyuki. What with the 'going out while knowing Tatsuya already having a fiancee'.
• And expanding on Mari's actions in this volume for those who don't know what she did. Mari called Tatsuya for a private meeting after she met with Mayumi, and Miyuki went off on some tangents that's funny to us but unflattering to Mari Miyuki considered that Mari called to cheat on her fiancee, even if it's not to make Tatsuya cheat on Miyuki Because Tatsuya is just that attractive or Mari fought with her fiancee or something.
• In all seriousness though, Mari was calling Tatsuya so she can meet with him and discuss about Mayumi. After that bit about Tatsuya dropping the bomb that he does find Mayumi sexually attractive and Mari blushing like a schoolgirl in response, Mari wants what's best for her friend Mayumi. Even if it might be screwing over Miyuki. Because Tatsuya might be Mayumi's first and last man Mayumi ever loves.
• Later, Mayumi tells Tatsuya about the marriage being forced on them both
• Mayumi approaches Tatsuya about it and she actually sounds or pretends like she's distraught about it because it is something decided by her father and Masaki's father.
• Then she poses it back to Tatsuya to test the wether as to how he would feel marrying her. Tatsuya replies, I am Miyuki's fiance to sooth her and keep her from worrying. Mayumi isn't being true or clear yet again.

• About the scene of Mayumi hugging Tatsuya that is just her being embarrassed about thinking of playing the whore part to snatch tatsuya away from Miyuki. (Refer 7th illustration)

• On the left there's part of the dialogue between her and Mari. It goes pretty much like this:

• Mari: if you don't like it then you just refuse to go along with it

• Mayumi: I did refuse. but that tanuki of my dad keep insisting

• Mari: then perhaps he saw through you and realized that you are not really against it.

• Koichi just wants to shut down the Yotsuba clan and that's why he insist so much on the engagement between Mayumi and Tatsuya.

• The nuclear missile at the United States by seven sages and Raymond are waiting to disposal is stolen by terrorists.
• Raymond explains stuff about the nuclear bomb and the objective is to attack Japan.
• At the same time, Lina receives the same mail. Lina wanted to go to Japan, but she was held back by Balance.
• Instead they sent in Canopus. Their target is Jied Heig's assassination
• Lina calling Tatsuya and Miyuki. She talking with Miyuki first, and congratulating her for the engagement.
• Lina leaks information about the assassination thing and the nuclear bomb to Tatsuya and Miyuki, since she can't leave USNA.
• Lina's scene is not long in vol.17. Lina said that, Canopus is stronger than her without heavy metal blast. Canopus may be USNA version of Yanagi.

• One week later, as the first of the Master Clan meeting is held as scheduled. The student, as usual going to school.
• In the beginning TMC meeting, the Juumonji clan announces that Katsuhito will be their head.
• Katsuto's father Kazuki stepped down as Jumonji head because he lost his magic. The side effect of the Magic Calculation Area(MCA) overclocking ability of the Juumonji is permanent loss of magic power.

• The topic, is the petition from Ichijou clan. Miyuki's intentions are important. With regards to the petition, up to now it is Ok to approach Miyuki.
• Maya basically said that each are free to decide their partner, but for now they are choosing to stay together. As it was previously said it may be a ruse to get Tatsuya to finally become aware of his feelings for Miyuki.
• Maya not opposed to Tatsuya and Mayumi or Miyuki and Masaki courting but Miyuki and Tatsuya must remain engaged.
• Maya refuses every single marriage proposal. Tatsuya and Miyuki can stay together without much problem

• Next, Maya tells everyone of the Saegusa clan's connections with Zhou. Saegusa clan acknowledges, and are blamed by the other clans.
• Kasuto and other 10 MC question about Koichi. Maya just smirked and thought as expected. (Refer 10th illustration)
• At that exact time, Kudou arrives, Kudou clan is also at fault.
• Kudou will withdraw from the master clan as forgiveness. After Kudou withdraws, who will be put in?
• Maya says how about Shippou.
• Maya nominates Shippo as the 10th family to replace the Kudos, knowing the bad blood between Shippo and Saegusa, as a way to counteract Koichi, not because of any other good will reason, etc. and if anything, Shippo is probably not strong enough to be really ranked as one of the Ten

• The next day, Shippou came to thanks Tatsuya. Tatsuya reaction : huh?
• Shippou clan who hasn't done anything special is now part of the ten clans and the Kudou has withdrawn
• Tatsuya has reached out the magic association for assistance in his experiment for energy production that being done in FLT. This experiment may solve the energy issues and it's good strategy to get media attention.

• At the end of the novel, is the terrorist attack
• The attack on the 10MC meeting was a suicide bombing. None of the 10MC reps suffered even a single scratch. Juumonji Katsuto shielded them, while Mutsuzuka Atsuko extinguished the flames. Apparently manipulation of heat is the specialty to 6 (Mutsu) and for her erasing a fire that can't melt a steel from was a piece of cake. Futsugi Mai suggests in a calm voice that they get out because if they're buried alive, they'd have to use unnecessary effort; she does this while preventing the spread of fire and the production of poisonous gas through the prohibition of oxidation of building material. Mitsuya Gen agrees, saying quite a large-scale suicide bombing seems to be starting; he's prepared to use multiple magics.

• Gouki suspects it's Puppet Terror—apparently suicide bombing terrorism that uses magic to take control of a person's body and make it move like a doll. Gouki had sensed a hint of magic remotely controlling the body, and those hints were slowly moving around in the first floor lobby and in the corridors of each floor; many were even moving below. The specialty of "1" magicians, which includes the Ichijou clan, is interference with living bodies, but magic that manipulates the movement of living bodies is forbidden. There are precedents of those who were reduced to Extras for violating this ban. For this reason, even if he knows the trick Puppet Terror, he doesn't have a way to interfere with it and stop it.

• Yuka senses something is about to collapse. Yatsushiro Raizou invokes gravity control magic and elevates Yuka who had lost her support. Kouichi suggests they hurry. Everyone nods. As a group with Maya, Mai, and Atsuko placed in the middle, the 10 magicians head for outside the hotel. They turn toward "human-shaped" bombs loitering in the corridor. Gouki uses "Bakuretsu" (Rupture?). Then he announces it's not a suicide bomb. The enemy is manipulating corpses and using them to carry bombs.

• The magicians fight their way out. Unfortunately, the destruction of the corpses was caught by the media. Maya apparently believes the bad PR was the point of the whole attack; she says that's why she said it was meaningless for them to be deliberately injured.

• Miyuki and Tatsuya were in First High when they got notified about the attack, Ichijou was in Third High and Mayumi was in Magic University.

• Afterwords

• First part: I hope you enjoyed the volume 17 of the Irregular at Magic High School. This time there is not much action in the story but instead, there is much more "affection" in it (kidding)

• Second Part: This is not always true that when a man and a girl become a couple, many men and women are crying behind.... but rather people will congrats them or many people might just "do not care" about a couple. However; it is not rare (unusual) situation where a Relationship of lovers is established on the Grief of friends, Acquaintances, or rivals. This can be happened in our real lives, but this is more common in the fictional world.

• "But (this will be a spoiler so can't tell you the name) actually wants to break up (??) so he or she might be happy that his or her parents interfered. But it seems it was too late."

• Lina appeared in the story in one years (in the story timeline). It is really easy to draw her, so I wanted to let her appear in the story more often, but I cannot let her departure from the U.S yet. So she will just appear in the story like this time for a while.. such a pity....

• Now, next story (episode) will be "Ten Master Clans Meeting (II)". Ten Master Clans Volumes (17,18 and 19) is split into 3 like the Visitor Arc, and the content will be somewhat similar as well.

• So it can be said that the way of developing the story is familiar to the games " Out of order" and "Lost zero"

• I may be yelled by the readers if I keep talking about the next story.. so please enjoy the "Ten Master Clans Meeting (ll)

• The next volume will release during the winter. (December 2015 or January 2016).
• Black Sage was behind the explosion at the end of Volume 17. The public starts to blame magicians for the bombing attack. (Heigu apparently used a corpse instead of a living person to infiltrate their meeting location).
• Return of the anti-magician propaganda, 10MC decides they need to get to the bottom of this. Tatsuya, Juumonji, Masaki and Mayumi team up to hunt down the Black Sage.
• Soon, Tatsuya and the others may go ahead feared course/direction/way.
• When Tatsuya is near to grasp the clue leading to Heigu's whereabouts he is blocked by an unexpected opponent.
• Gouki say to Masaki : Yotsuba-ke's Shiba Tatsuya-dono is equal to you, he'll join to the search under Juumonji-dono's leadership. Masaki, show your will-power.
• Pushed by Gouki, Masaki tries something unexpected to try and get close to Miyuki and Mayumi also is being pushed to the forefront by various schemes not her own.

Spoilers on 4chan

• Honoka resolved to not give up on Tatsuya, even with Miyuki becoming the"legal wife." Shizuku made her think about whether or not she was willing to become his mistress.
• Masaki dad isn't naturally tan, He's tan because he spends a lot of time outside and he also spend much time at his company's various mining operation locations. It was state in the preview pages.

• Summary Mari conversation with Tatsuya

• And expanding on Mari's actions in this volume for those who don't know what she did. Mari emailed Tatsuya for a private meeting after she met with Mayumi.
• Mari asks if it's romantic love. He replies that it's different, that if he has to say, then it's as an object of sexual desire. Tatsuya is composed; on the other hand, Mari is blushing. She stammers that even he has that sort of desire. Tatsuya thinks she's quite innocent; even though it's a time when a woman having premarital relations is viewed as taboo, her reaction is unsophisticated just because she has a lover she's been dating for a long time. Of course, Tatsuya is neither insensitive nor careless enough to make such a sexually harassing remark; he just says he has it because it's a primitive desire connected to the preservation of the species. This isn't a lie. It's just that an upper limit has been set on Tatsuya's desire and it won't reach the strength where it will dominate his actions. This is because of the effect of the mental modification by his real mother, Miya. So for Tatsuya, "an object of sexual desire" doesn't mean "I'll want to try to ravish her"; however, this was something that didn't need to be said, either.

• Then he asks Mari what she wants to do since she asked what he thinks of Mayumi. Mari still hasn't recovered from the shock she received from Tatsuya, but she suggests Tatsuya try going out with Mayumi. He clarifies she means "that going out" (in other words, "dating") and asks whether Mari doesn't know about him and Miyuki. He gives her a cold stare. Mari replies that she knows Tatsuya and his younger sister are actually cousins and that they're engaged. Tatsuya points out that she should understand that he can't go out with Mayumi. The temperature of his gaze drops even lower. Mari thinks that freezing magic is supposed to be Miyuki's specialty, but Mari psyches herself up to avoid freezing to death. Even if she closes her eyes here, she won't freeze to death, but for some reason she fell into such a delusion. She mentions Ichijou's objection to the engagement. Tatsuya confirms this and asks if she'd heard about it from Mayumi. Ichijou's objection apparently would be something of a scandal, so news of it shouldn't have spread much. Mari admits this, explaining that it was just as surprising to Mayumi. She tells Tatsuya not to misunderstand, that Mayumi seems to be in a similar position as Masaki where they're being forced.

• The paralyzing chill disappears from Tatsuya's eyes. Instead, there was an indifference that made her feel like she's in an impossible situation. He dismisses the talk as disgusting, but inside he worries about Miyuki's reaction since he remembers she feels inferior because she's younger (a girl and not a woman). Mari agrees with him. He asks if she really understands, and points out that the one who'd would be injured publicly is Mayumi, not him. This surprises Mari, and she calls him kind. He counters that that much concern is reasonable.

• Mari says that if Mayumi doesn't feel anything for him, she (Mari) will also give up, that there's no need for him to get the short end of the stick. She adds, however, that Mayumi doesn't understand her own feelings. Tatsuya gives Mari a look that asks "And?" Mari explains that Mayumi doesn't understand what she feels for Tatsuya, what type of favorable impression of him she has. Mari corrects herself, saying Mayumi isn't trying to understand, that she's averting her eyes from the favorable impression she bears of Tatsuya.

• Tatsuya points out that it might be because Mayumi understands her own position well. Mari agrees and adds that Mayumi can't choose a partner she likes just with her own intentions, that love and marriage are separate, that Mayumi thinks just being in love is pointless. Tatsuya counters that Mari might be overthinking things. He admits that there's a tendency not to allow high-level magicians to remain unmarried, but it's not an era where they can't choose their marriage partner. Mari counters by asking about his case and Miyuki's. This time he's the one who falls silent. However, Mari doesn't pursue this line of questioning further. She tells him she wants Mayumi to be allowed to experience romantic love. She acknowledges she might be meddling unnecessarily, but she doesn't want Mayumi to resign herself to being sensible. Since Tatsuya's a guy, Mari says he might not understand.

• Tatsuya concedes he can't understand. Mari then says he should understand just one thing: Mayumi accepts that she has a favorable impression of Tatsuya, so he might be the first and last man who will allow Mayumi to experience love. Tatsuya dismisses Mari's words as overthinking. When she protests, he counters that he doesn't know Mayumi as well as Mari does, but Mayumi doesn't appear to be such a weak person. Tatsuya's rebuttal stops the exasperated Mari's tongue. He adds that Mayumi doesn't appear to be a woman who'd give up and become what her parents say, abandoning what she thinks and feels. He suggests that Mayumi will eventually find a partner in romantic love, even if it's not him. Besides, what's impossible is impossible. Because he's Miyuki's fiancé. Then he leaves.

• Gu Jie is finally on Japan with his puppets and it's using "Hliðskjálf" to search information about the 10MC. His goal is to assassinate the entire Yotsuba clan, and the next attack wants to damage their public image.
• The next day Balance meets Lina and Benjamin Canopus, here the spoilers are true. Is revealed Canopus have some connections with USNA politicians, there are some suspicious Heigu is one of the people helping this and the pro-humanity movement is involved in the government. Canopus's mission is to kill Gu Jie.
