Discussion One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga

Episode 10 was alright. Hody and the others have invaded the castle now. Shirahoshi is "missing" but on the flip side she's been found out as megalo couldn't keep her inside any longer lol. Sanji saw her now too.

 

Episode 11 was alright. Zoro "cut down" Hody for a moment, but he was given one of those pills and rebuffed. Now the group there is in his grasp with Neptune. Luffy was "captured" but saved Shirahoshi again and beat up Vander Decken. They ended up making it to the forest and met up with Jinbei. Now we're getting the backstory of Otohime/Sun Pirates.

 

Episode 12 was alright. Otohime/Fisher Tiger/Arlong backstory. We also got Koala. Next episode looks to be where Fisher Tiger dies.

 

Episode 13 was good, we got Fisher Tiger's death and continued hatred of humans, while not wanting to impact the future and still wanting peace for them. Also had Otohime saving Mjosgard and going to discuss getting Fishman Island populace on land.

 

Episode 14 was good. We had Otohime's tragic death after getting a lot of support from the populace. This ended even worse due to Hody lying to them about a human killing Otohime. Jinbei and Luffy about to square up as Jinbei doesn't want Luffy to fight Hody but Luffy is going regardless.

 

Episode 15 was ok. Hody is all roided up now. The princes have also arrived to attempt to combat him.

 

Episode 16 was good. Shirahoshi tied up and thrown down. Then we get the reveal to everyone from Hody that he was the one to kill Queen Otohime. We also learn that Shirahoshi had known the whole time and kept it to herself and doesn't want any hate to come from it due to it being Otohime's wish. Everyone also calling for Luffy to destroy Fishman Island to take out Hody Ended with the SHs showing up.

 

Episode 17 was good. The SHs showing down with the army that Hody amassed. Also, Luffy using CoC to take out a large portion. Luffy also got a good punch in on Hody.

 

Episode 18 was good. Vander Decken having Noah be attracted to Shirahoshi and she flees to have Noah follow her to save Fishman Island. Luffy and Hody scuffle a little bit. Hody also tried to kill Vander Decken to have the ship drop, but he fails. Unfortunately Vander Decken KOs himself so it starts to fall.

 

Episode 19 was alright. Not a whole lot happened. Luffy let a Red Hawk out, finally vs Hody.

 

Episode 20 was decent. The Noah was falling and it was a race against time to destroy the noah. Thankfully, Shirahoshi's will to help summoned the neptunians and they stopped it before it could be destroyed, leaving it only damaged but in need of repairs. Jinbei also gave his blood to save Luffy.

 

21 was alright, final warp up of the arc with the little end party with the singing and dancing mermaids. Shirahoshi said a tearful goodbye. Luffy also shit talked BM and said how he'd fight and beat her (Yeah, that didn't happen)...
