Yeah, obviously this is probably one of the major turning points for him wanting to overthrow the WG.

 

I mean, when else would he even put this flashback?

 

Shanks was a baby, it would make even less sense than through Loki. Shanks' flashback makes more sense Roger telling him he's a CD, then him returning to the Holy Land.

Blackbeard is likewise too young for it to make sense being his flashback.

I guess you could argue we saw shit when Kuma was a baby, but idk, this fits pretty well.

Yeah, Dragon might also make sense, but then I'd expect his more to be about his marine -> revolutionary brief journey + luffy's birth and handing off to garp.

 

It is significant, but i don't think there is a significant difference if it's revealed now, or for blackbeard or shanks or dragon.

 

That isn't being contrarian though. If it's revealed now or in 200 chapters it doesn't change a thing.
